Question about LG LDF6810 Built-in Dishwasher

IE message Getting an IE message on dishwasher. Water is coming into the tank and heating, but after about 5 minutes, it kicks into an IE error. We have checked the water inlet and the spray arms and everything appears okay. I have read the comments about checking the float, but how do you do this? Any other suggestions would be helpful.

My solution was, after LG sent me a second dishwasher that ALSO did not work, to demand a refund. Then I went and bought a KitchenAid~ it's awesome!

How much water is coming into the unit? If the water level is not satisfied after 8 min the unit will shut down with the error. Check your water supply. The unit fills on a flow meter, however also times out if the proper level has not been met. The correct water level is the second rim on the bottom.
There is a problem on older models, prior to Mar '07, that wires can get stuck in the door insulation and break.

Hi I have an LG LD - 14AW23 dishwasher. It shows an IE error (no water) but it fills, stops and then gives the error message. What's thye problem? Many thanks, John

Hi

Error code IE on LG dishwasher means Inlet error. This error comes up when the Water Supply Tap is closed or Water Supply is shut off. If water supply is turned on then make sure that the Inlet Hose is not kinked and water Pressure is not low (should be above 10 psi). Next thing to check for is Water Inlet Valve, measure the electric resistance of Inlet Valve. (950-1300 ohms) Make sure the filter of Inlet Valve is not clogged.

Hope this helps... Please post back for further assistance.

After starting dishwasher to do a normal wash with heated dry, the dishwasher stops and Clean light blinks 7 times, pauses and this continues until I reset the machine. After reset it goes to rinse only...

Hi

Please check if the clean light is blinking 7 times. If yes then please reset the power to the dishwasher. After, 5 minutes check if you are still getting the same error. If yes, then it is a water heating fault. To resolve this error try pressing this reset sequence-- Heat Dry - Normal - Heat Dry - Normal or High Temp - Air Dry - High Temp - Air Dry.

If this doesn’t work then its an issue with the heater circuit, door switch, wash pump not pumping the water past the heater efficiently or due to lack of water to heat. Please make sure that heater is not open circuited and is heating the water efficiently. If heater is fine then make sure water pressure is optimum and fill valve is working fine.

Please post back for further assistance.

The "clean" light is blinking - so the dishwasher isn't working.

We have an LG lds5811ww dishwasher with IE error

check for voltage at the water valve when it should be filling Try disconnecting the Water Valve outlet from the DishWasher and run the output into a bucket if all is well with the valve then remove the door panel and inspect the wires near the bottom of the door. the wires get buried in the tar like insulation causing the wires to break as the door is opened and closed. That tar like substance is one of the worst things they could of ever put into that machine causes the wires to break apart adn become brittle

Water heater no go.

The heating element is turned on first during the main wash cycle, which could be approximately 10 minutes in. Since this error is coming up, the first thing to check/replace is the heating element.

I am only familiar with the LDF family of LG dishwashers and on them, to get to the heating element, you pull the dishwasher, invert the entire DW and remove the access panel.

Good Luck, please post back here what you find, OK?

Lg dishwasher stops throughout the full cycle

If you are still having problems with your LG dishwasher, turn off the hot water supply to the dishwasher and remove the hot water inlet pipe (remove the lower, front panel (toe kick plate) )
Check the screen/filter at the water inlet on the dishwasher.
Reconnect the pipe and turn the hot water supply back on.
Test out and enjoy!

Zanussi ZDT6252 stops 1min into cycle

You need to reset the computer on the bottom. Had the same problem with mine. The Blinking led means the heating element is bad and will not operate.

IE error message

Hi, had the same problem on a LG LD 12aw5. (No water entering). Check the inlet solonoid. There should be 220V over the solonoid. I replaced the solonoid, at first, just to have the same problem. The problem was a bit more serious, the Triac driving the solonoid burnt out, and the solder on the mainboard keeping the transformer were shot to. I replaced the Triac, soldered the Transformer - and wolla - working. If water enters - but you sill get the IE error it could be the float(checks the water level). This device tells the machine when there is enough water. If this is stuck, the machine will think no water is entering. conrad_dot_dewet@gmail.com - replace "_dot_" with "." to email me.
