    I have the same problem

  • John Griffiths Aug 13, 2013

When i stripped the torch i found the problem to the small fine gauze, thin washer and thin disc behind the gas nozzle. When i reassembled the torch without them the gas flow was restored.

I have tried getting these items as spares to no avail. I have also unsuccessfully tried to find a company/individual who can refurbish these items.

I am loathe to buy a new one when it will only cost pence to repair if the correct spares were available.

My roadpro pencil torch wont get the blue cone flame, ive tried squeezing the tip but it still doesnt have enough pressure

It is probably blocked up. It only takes a tiny flake of debris or carbon to choke the gas flow or restrict air from mixing properly with the butane fuel. Found this which might be of help to you -

How to change the flint on micro torch roburn mt-770

There is no flint.
It uses a piezoelectric igniter. Not really replaceable.
Point it at yourself at arms length and see if you can see a spark when you press the button to start it.
Here is a video which shows how to adjust the air-gas mixture when the torch is new.

Butane torch

Could be due to the fine gauze in the nozzle becoming clogged due to maybe not using good quality gas refills?.

Heater pilot

Take butane torch and heat the orifice that the gas comes out of. Unitl the orifice is hot from the pilot light it will not be open enough to permit sufficient gas to flow. Most heaters have in the start up procedure to hold the start button down for a while to accomplish this heating.

Blazer pocket micro torch will not spark. Gas comes out, but no spark to ignite it.

try to open up the part where the spark would come from. there should be a screw on the bottom or top to open it. This is where the flint would be.

The flint is probably worn down or it broke (you can buy new flints at pretty much any convince store around they are i believe $1-2 for 5 of them.

replace the flint and you will have a spark.

Bought mini butane soldering iron today filled with butane and used it. It was getting low so i put more butane in it and now i can light it. please help

When you fill the soldering iron with butane you must have it turned so the butane can is held upside down. Liquid butane must be able to flow into the iron. It's most likely that you held it upright and even though gas butane would have flowed in it would not be enough to light it. Only fill it outdoors.

The Blazer micro torch does not ignite (no hissing sound for the gas either) and we did fill it with butane? Any suggestions - have had it for awhile - maybe it needs new flint? or whatever ignites it....

Hi. Get a piece of very fine wire, hardware store is a good source, and run it into the nozzle. Chances are that the nozzle is clogged. Once it is hissing again it will ignite unless you also need a new flint. J.
