I have a new Pantech Breeze III and I downloaded music to be used as my ringtone. The music clip shows in a file tilted "Download Ring Tones", but not the Ring Tone file. When I open the Download Ring Tone file and try to select it as the ring tone, that option is not highlighted and it won't let me set the downloaded music as the ring tone. Can anyone give me any suggestion on how to solve this problem.

SOURCE: Different ring tones

To assign individual ring tones:

1) you must go to the phone book, highlight the wanted contact, click on options and then edit.
2) scroll down until you see the section "ringtone" and click on it.
3) Then choose audio, then ringtones. click on the ringtone you want, you must listen to it first, and then click on "select".
4) if you want a ringtone to be something you've recorded, click on "my voice" rather than "ringtones"

How can I retrieve my caller tunes from iCloud after a restore on a(n) iPhone 6 plus?

I have read of others having same problem of missing tones after restore or upgrade. Fwiw - I always save backups of everything on my iphone to my PC using iTunes and only use iCloud as my secondary backup. Using iTunes allows selection of each category including "tones". Even though the tones were restored, I found that each contact was reset back to default. I had to go back to each contact, select "edit" and then select "ringtone" which brought up the listing of available tones and all my custom tones were at the top of the list.

if you purchased ringtones or downloaded free ring tones from the iTunes Store and they are missing, you should be able to go to the iTunes Store on your iPhone, select "more" then select "purchases" and re-download them, they may only be listed under the music category. Although I also have heard some people are missing ring tones from their purchases. In this case, you will need to email or call apple customer service.

if all this fails, your can use iTunes or any other music editor to make your own ring tones. Basically you save a copy of the song in m4a format, edit the start and stop times to be 30 sec max play time and save the clip as an .m4r file. You can google the procedure, it's fairly easy. In iTunes, save the clip with a new title then go to the actual file location on the hard drive and simply change the file extension to m4r, then add the file to iTunes and it will show up under "tones", repeat as desired then you can sync the tones.

without iTunes, you need to use an app to make ring tones on your iPhone - Apple has not yet provided this functionality.

Can I use a sound from the sound album for a ring tone and how do I set it LG 285

That depends on what format the phone has default tones of. If they're set for mp3 format then you can use an mp3 of any kind as a tone also the file size is key. Some phones have a limit of 300K. There are programs available online to create your own ringtones from music files. I've created over 300 tones from audio clips from movies and TV as well as many music files. You'll never have to purchase and download ringtones from your service provider.

On most phones you can connect it to your pc and transfer files. If not you can use a memory card to transfer data. Just save the file to your tones folder and then select it as your default or an individual caller's tone. Good luck

Blackberry curve ringtones

You cannot save a ringtone, picture, or music to a SIM card. Those files get saved to the "hard drive" of the phone. In order to get music into your phone to use as a ringtone, you must either

1. Download through one of those pay for services like Jamster or through t-zones or the like.

2. Use a data connection plan to download from the "mobile net". Sites are free that let you upload your music to an address that you can go to on your mobile web and download to your phone. The phone usually knows where to download the ringtone to on its own. T-mobile's t-zones costs $5.99 a month for the mobile web.

3. Use a USB connector and the media managing software for the phone to transfer the file to your phone. The Motorola RZR uses a software called Motorola Phone Tools to do this. The Blackberry also has its own Blackberry User Tools Software. Usually, the software shows you the "folders" on the phone and one will be called "tones". You put it there and it comes up in your list of ringtones.
