problem solved. lid lock switch came loose and the plastic screw housings broke. Pushed the switch down by hand and it spinned and all the water went out. Yowzer!! Still have to put in a new switch but that shouldn't be a problem after i get one. If it isn't the lock but the drain is clogged or the pump frozen, where does it drain from the washer and where is the pump?If it isn't the lock but the drain is clogged or the pump frozen, where does it drain from the washer and where is the pump?

The switch the tube connects to shuts the water off. Will it cut off on high medium or low level. You can try blowing on the tube to see if it works. It should cut off when you blow.
as to the filling issue this would either be the pressure switch or the hose that goes to the pressure switch to the tub has come off if you have any further questions message me back and please remember to rank this opinion it allows me to help others in similar situations Thanks Rick
p.s the starts agititating is normal when the lid closes it is engaging the lid switch
You might have a partially clogged drain past your drain hose
(In the wall etc)
Thats overflowing behind the washer.
Watch the drain for a few washings and see if it overflows
It may be second or third or fifth load. Its hard to catch

May be a bad water level switch.
Open the control panel, with a full tub of water bump the water level switch with your hand. If it starts to agitate, replace the water level switch.
