Yesterday my battery light came on on my 1997 F150 although the truck still ran well and had no issues starting the engine all that day or this morning. This afternoon the truck stalled while driving. After giving it a boost it died again a few seconds later. this is a fairly new battery; whats wrong?

Check for moisture under distributer cap. If there is, leave the cap off for 1/2 hour or an hour to evaporate, reinstall cap. Please post your results.
voltage is not really the issue here, the amperage is the thing that make things go.
you battery may have 1 or 2A, but hte bettery still reads 12v.
are you getting any gas to the engine.?
try a new battery, and give it a short bust, not a long cranks. and give enough gas in between the bust.
