There is someone else with the same problem on the post but it is unanswered. The face plate comes down and goes back up without ejecting. it is new. It came with the car that I just purchaced. I do not have the owners manual either. ugh! been listening to the same damn cd forever and it's starting to suck.

SOURCE: eject

If you remove the deck, turn it upside done it is likely you will see a piece of clear plastic that holds the gear assembly together. usually fractures at the back of the deck where a screw go's through. if this is the case let me know & i will advise how it can be repaired..

SOURCE: eject button will not eject cd

Mine was stuck in there for almost a year until I disconnected the battery (for other reasons) and when I reconnected it, the CD finally saw the light again.

I would try cleaning the connectors on the face plate with an pencil eraser and on the unit itself with a very fine sand paper. And make sure you get rid of any dust after cleaning before putting the face plate back on.
Please leave me a good feedback.

Unable to remove faceplate or eject cd on kenwood

remove the to of the unit, then the two in the actual cd player, pull out cd player, there will be two more screws, these hold the faceplate assembly in place, remove them. This will allow you to pull a small plastic hook down to let the face plate slide out. then remove the face plate from it's holder, slide it out. Remove the four screws on the back of the faceplate inside the there is a very small piece of plastic that has a hole at one end and squared at the other. This is the problem causing piece. I suggest super gluing this piece where it attaches to the inside of the faceplate. This should fix the problem.

Pioneer deh - p9600mp

An install gone bad. Something is hindering free movement of the face plate open mechanism. Closely inspect the top edge of the bezel, is the face plate trim ( thin plastic ornamental frame covering the ugly aluminium mounting sleeve) snapped securely back in place? has it been fitted upside down?, is it deformed?.

Push the button on the top right corner. It is a little black button that pops out. This should allow for you to bring down the face plate and you can then insert a cd. Hope this helps, also can you please rate my answer. Thanks
