Suction when vacuuming

Some vacuums have a valve or collar near the handle that you can twist to adjust the amount of suction on the vacuum. If you open it a little it will stop sucking up your throw rugs. IF the problem is not enough vacuum then the HEPA filter may be clogged. It's usually a rectangular filter in a plastic frame. That has to be changed occasionally or the suction of the vacuum will continue to drop off.

How do I get reverse suction with the electrolux epic 6000?

I have no idea just what reverse suction would be or how to get it from ANY vac. If you're looking at getting the blowing air from the vac instead of suction, then simply move the hose from the suction end to the exhaust end.

Why would a Hoover Windtunnel have no suction?

It could be clogged at the head or throat, or you might have a hole in the hose. Unplug the hose; if you're getting suction where the hose plugs in then the problem is in the hose or the head. If you're not getting suction where the hose plugs in then the problem is in the body, probably the throat. If the problem is in the hose or head, detach the hose from the head and check for suction at the end of the hose. If there's not suction there, then you've got a clog or a hole. If there is suction there, then you've got a clog in then head.

I have a model DC3 rainbow thar has lost suction. what can i do to fix it

Check suction at intake without any hose connected. If that is good, then connect hose and check suction again. If that is poor, then you have a clog. If still good, then check power nozzle by getting into the belt area.

TRIED TO GET SUPPER HEAT MEASSURMENT AFTER THAWING OUT THE EVAP. OUT SIDE TEMP WAS 95 THE SUCTION LINE TEMP 77 AND THE SUCTION PRESSURE WAS 42 AT THE GAUAGE. BUT THE SUCTION PRESSURE WOULD DROP PRESSURE...

You have to let the system run for a while for the suction pressure to stabilize, if the metering device is a TXV pressure will rise and fall as the valve opens and closes. If this is R22 you need to get the suction pressure up

I have Electrolux Versatility and have little suction power in the hose part,

Unplug the machine..now if you remove the attachment hose at the body of the vac and feel inside (to the right about an inch) their is a "suction cover" that rotates when the wand is removed (aka using atachments). The cover in your machine is NOT rotating correctly, so it does not get full suction. If you do get some suction from the hose then their is at least a 'small opening' because it has partially rotated. I was able to fix this problem by taking a large screwdriver (1.5 feet long, thick as a pen), inserting it into the small opening (on the suction cover, inside to the right at the top) and forcing the cover down all the way by lifting the screw driver up against the top of the body opening. Seems to have corrected the problem, but may reoccur. If you have NO suction at all then it has failed to rotate whatsoever, and Im not sure how to correct it.

How do I switch the vacuum from floor to accessory suction

It automatically switches over when you disconnect the hose from the power nozzle. No suction it getting to the power nozzle, so the suction is only through the attachments. If there is no suction through the hose, check for clogs in the hose and in the tank where the hose plugs in. Also, check the screen at the bottom of the tank. If there is a clog in the hose or tank, then there also will be no suction to the power nozzle.
Remove all clogs and you should get suction.

Suction is great, maybe too good. unit does not

Your probally right about the suction being too much. If you have a main drain and it get's stuck there you need to shut the drain off as the two suctions will stick to each other. If it get's stuck in random places then you just have to much suction to the unit. You can test by slowley pulling two of the hoses apart to let some of the suction escape. If this fixes it you can purchase a dirveter to mount where you mount the cleaner. Their may be one in the box your cleaner came in, so be sure to look there first before spending on a new one.Good luck.

How to for Belt replacement and solution to suction loss

You say it lost its suction, then you also say this is plenty of suction power, seems you cant figure out the prob. Try cleaning the fan on the suction blower. The blades can get chocked with dust which will give you a reduced suction.
