Frigidaire Side by Side Refrigerator/Freezer start cycle problem
My Frigidaire Refrigerator/Freezer repeatedly kept trying to start and quit (start cycle, compressor kick in, then after about 10 seconds sometimes just click and quit before compressor started) Unplugged for half hour+, plugged back in - running fine for an hour or so. Repeated many times. This has repeated many times. The compressor seems to run fine once it keeps going, maintaining close to 0 deg. F. Compressor seems to be running at normal temp, with front of cabinet feeling warm as usual. Once started sounds are normal.
As compressor seems o.k., what is the problem? Starting relay?
Does this unit have a plug in relay, and is a replacement available? or other parts.
Could this be a result of low line voltage from time to time?
(I changed the overload relay protector and capacitor. Not helpful).

If your refrigerator is short cycling, it can be caused by a number of issues including: An incorrectly set thermostat inside your refrigerator. Dirt and dust on the coils that prevents efficient operation. Faulty capacitors or relays that prevent the compressor from staying on. Apr 14, 2019
Sounds like a defrost problem. Is there frost build up on inside back wall of freezer? If heater is good, the control or the defrost thermostat may be bad. Is fan in freezer and fan at compressor running?
I understand you want to know how cold the freezer should get on your Frigidaire refrigerator, model# PLHS269ZCB2. The freezer compartment should be kept at 0 degrees Fahrenheit or lower. Hope this is helpful.
Its defrost problem, the freezer should cool,
then freeze, then defrost cycle should start. In your case freezer is cooling,
then freezing, but its not defrosting. That's why fridge section is not
cooling.-------

Many times a freezer and/or refrigerator do not work right because of a dirty condenser coil...there are also many other things that can go wrong.
If you are hearing a clicking or buzzing then check out the last two tips.
If your refrigerator is running but warm, then...
Check out these tips that I wrote about that... it is a great place to start trouble shooting your unit...and something that you can do rather then calling a repair person to do a simple thing for you...
It is all rightt if the heat is just warm . This is so becasue your fridge exchanges heat for the cycle of gas being compressed and released that eventually cools your freezer. earlierr fridges had the coils on the back side which was open but now they are mounted on the sides with glass wool packing. Hence if your freezer and functions seems alright just see that the thermostat is not kept too much and allow the fridge to shut down frequently so that the coils cools by heat dissipation. I hope my advice is helpful Good day
there sunds to me like there is a problem with you defrost cycle.how ever how need to look for any ice build up in the bottom side of the freezer section.
while the unit is the cooling mode open the freezer door and listen for a fan running if you do not hear a fan running you may need to replace it the door switch should be held in while you are checking this.
then i would alos look at the overload relay and start switch on the compressor.
freezer temp must be 10F or lower, feeler arm down, if icemaker is still not starting a harvest cycle there is thermal fuse inside icemaker that may have opened up.
Thanks.
Yes the fan works.
