Hi, everytime i try to print something the paper either comes out blank or most of it is missing.its not the ink because ive bought new cartridges twice!! and ive run the test pages and they come out fine its just everything else that wont print.
can anyone help
You need to put the test page that was printed into the scanner part of the printer and then press the scan/blue button. This is so the printer can calibrate the new ink. When you have done that the next time you turn on the printer a blank page will not be printed.
When you next change ink you will have to repeat the above procedure.

Inkjet printers need to be used frequently to prevent inkdrying out in the print head nozzles. If the print head cleaning maintenance routine does not clear the blockages, then print head needs replacing, but it may be expensive. It may be more cost effective to buy a later model and better printer thanreplace the print head.
How long was the printer stored before you took it out to use it? You can't store a printer with or without ink cartridges in it. When a printer sits, the ink that is in the print heads settles and dries. Once that happens, the print heads are pretty much ruined. You can buy new print heads, but its usually cheaper to buy another printer instead. The reason it is not printing is probably because the print heads are plugged.

This is a common problem with printers. Reinstall the driver, preferably from the Canon download website. It will have the newest drivers and have fixes for any problems which existed before. Let me know if you need more help. Thanks for using FixYa and for the generous rating.
Sounds like there is something wrong with the mainboard of the computer... Did you try plugging it into a different computer, uninstalling and re installing the driver again. If after all that is done and the same problem still is happening I can see that the printer could be non working anymore and is just freaking out. Try contacting Brother and see what they can do for you.
