SOURCE: not enough water in the drum during the washing cycle

If its a High efficiency washer it doesn't use much water. Usually the front load washers are HE washers

SOURCE: samsung vrt washer will begin cycle but get so far

You might have an object jammed in the pump housing. First thing you must do is to unplug the machine from the power outlet. You will then need to remove the back panel of the washer to access the pump. Disconnect the wiring from the pump and remove the two hoses by compressing the two clamps. ( Be ready for water to pour out of the hoses) Remove the three mounting bolts that hold the pump to the frame of the washer and remove the pump assembly. It is easier to work on the pump if you remove it from the mounting plate. Remove the three screws that hold the impeller housing to the pump motor. Seperate the two parts being careful not to damage the rubber o-ring that seals the unit. Inspect the impeller housing for any debris. (I found a nickle blocking the outlet port in mine). Remove anything you may find and reassemble in reverse order. The machine should reset itself and run as normal.
Good luck!

SOURCE: Hi Unable to drain the water

You can take the hose that goes to the drain and lay it down. but when you do that the water will run out the hose so make sure it goes outside or into a floor drain. You pump is either jammed or broken or the solenoid that turns it on is out.

SOURCE: I have a Samsung VRT front load washer, it was

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

First is to empty the water out. This can be done by following my (complete) general guidance notes below for checking the drain motor lint tray/filter and the motor.
'nf' means NO FEED and what happened afterward indicates that the water feed control valve is malfunctioning, initially not opening for water to be fed but then sticking open.
So follow these notes, particularly those in capital letters, to find how to empty the washer, and to check the state of the filter which is needed on a regular basis anyway ;-0)
Next will be a call to a service engineer to sort out the suspect valve.Sorry ;-0(
-------------------------------------------------------------
I would suggest as a first step that you clean the drain motor lint tray/filter. So many 'faults' are caused by blocked filters. The motor is unable to drain all of the water in the allotted time.
If you are unsure where the filter is, it is often behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!) and held in by a round cover/knob.

REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT!

It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. If it doesn't work then the motor is malfunctioning!

Good luck!

What is the problem?
Water level is automatically controlled based on what you set it to low, med, or high.

WHY IS WATER LEVEL LOW CAN I CHANGE THE SETTING ON WATER

there should be a knob on the control panel showing small, medium, large maybe even super. that is how you change the water level. Its for different amounts of clothing your washing at a time. If you put in a few clothes then you have the option of using less water.

The water level never stops, it just fills till it over flows

if on auto level select water level eg medium or low depending on amount of clothes this sometimes works dont use auto water level. If not check small pipe under touch board on top panel, make sure u unplug mains from plug pipe may be loose its small plastic goes to level sensor on right of board. If not level sensor faulty.

If I choose to have the water full to either large or even a medium level. It keeps feeling up and won't turn off. keeps running water. Why?

If water won't shut off even if you unplug the washer, then the water valve is likely stuck and will need to be replaced. If the water shuts off when water level switch is on low, but overflows when set on medium or high, it is more often the water level switch itself. Before replacing, be sure the tube going to the side of the tub is clear and not kinked. Remove the tube from the switch and blow thru it, reattach and try filling again. If it works, you should be ok, if not then replace water level switch.

Is there a water level setting control for the washer or does it automatically detect and control that? I wondered if the control that has the options high/med/low/hang dry/no spin(lights are on or off...

Water level is determined automatically by the load in the machine. A pressure switch senses the water level after the clothes soak up all they can and just enough more is added. The settings as you suspect are for the spin speed.

Washer will not fill before agitation

The settings on water level may be set on very low amount. Check see your water level is set on medium or full. You may be expecting the wrong amount on the low setting.
