Nope - its a DMA issue, you have to reinstall this on a new IDE pathway or delete the data n windows relating to this drive. The default ATAPI drivers always works with any new hardware but an error occured more than once. Boot up safe mode and delete all data relating to this drive and registry entries. If not, re-install windows

No sound . After installation of Internet sound "disappeared". No "local" measures worked ("frozen" adjustments on Sound and Volume). Were told that the problem might be in hardware (drive C-?, not sure)....

Open the Device Manager by pressing the "Windows logo key+R key" simultaneously and typing devmgmt.msc in the Run dialog box and clicking OK.

Next, click on the plus sign next to the "sound, video and game controllers" and check if sound device is listed. If the sound device is listed then check if there is an exclamation mark visible beside the audio device.

If an exclamation mark is visible beside the sound device then right click on it and click Uninstall. After uninstalling the sound device, restart the Computer for the changes to take effect. After restarting the Computer, download the audio driver from the manufacturer site and install it into the Computer.

The sound will start working normally in the Computer.

Acer dvd driver missing acer ferrari 400 dvd uj-845-c

CD/DVD drive drivers are Operating System generic drivers and need not to be installed explicitly. The CD/DVD drive drivers are installed along with the Operating System and can be reinstalled automatically at next restart, if missing.

Check in the Device Manager under the "CD/DVD drive" category if there is any device listed there and having exclamation mark. If there is any exclamation mark visible beside the CD/DVD drive name then right click on it and restart the Computer.

Restarting the Computer will reinstall the CD/DVD drive driver thus causing it to work normally.

Optiarc DVD/CD won't work since webcam install

Try doing a system restore to right before when you installed the web cam. You will not loose any of your documents but it will bring the system back to the working state it was in before you installed the webcam.

Cannot instoll my motherbord sound card drivers

Check device manager. This can be done in Win XP by right clicking my computer, properties, hardware, then click device manager. Alternative way to enter device manager is by clicking start menu, control panel, system (performance and maintenance), hardware then device manager.

In the deice manager window see if any question marks or exclamation points are visible.

If so, see if it the mark is for an audio device.

If it is an audio device, uninstall the device.

Next, try to install the sound card driver again. If that fails, the enter the device manager and uninstall the sound card again, restart the PC, ignore the hardware manager, and try to install the sound card driver software again.
