DVD not reading

Hi,  I have a Aiptek portable DVD player (PDV-920). Now i an facing a problem when loading DVD's. All other discs are reading, also some DVD's will play for a few Minutes & will get hanged. To the best of my knowledgw i think the problem may be with it's lens/eye. If so from where i can order it & what will be it's price. If possible pls guide me briefly how to change the lens. Thx

Its better that you purchase a better lens cleaner which keeps our old lens alive.

I have same problem with me, but now when i used the lens cleaner, the problem solved, now i can easily see DVDs on my portable player

We have a Durabrand portable DVD player, the issue we have is once we place the dvd in, the screen reads loading, then reads no disc. We have tried several discs. Any free troubleshooting suggestions?

hello

use a cd/dvd lens cleaner kit or if that does not work, you will need toopen lid, access the lens pickup, and clean the lens directly, using isopropyl alcohol with cotton sticks.
anyway if these all dont help you need to replace pick up with a new one. i recommend original spare parts as those sold on ebay mostly chinese production with low quality and durability.

kind regards

I have a Durabrand dual screen 7" portable dvd player Model PDV-722. Has worked fine for over a year. Now it just spins and says loading. Then it will say disc error. I have tried several discs and have...

Looks like your optical sensor is gone. And considering the price of the PDV-722 replacing the optical unit is not an option. By the other hand I have a burned slave monitor and I would be happy to buy yours to complete my set, which is reading DVD's very well.

When you put a dvd in it it says no disc I used all dvds it tells me the same thing the player is about 2 years old

try to use cd cleaner first. usually len has a dirt thats why you player was unable to read year disc. if same thing happened after you cleaned the lens. then it might be a lens problem

Disc does not appear to load. When inserted in

If you have a disk that you know works, try it. Make sure the disk is not upside down.

Disc error

Durabrand went out of business last November. Wal Mart has been exchanging DVD players that have been having trouble with one the is of equal or greater value.

You might want to take it back to Walmart and get an exchange for it. The company that made portable DVD players for them went out of business in November of 2007. Ripoffreport.com has several complaints filed about the players.
