Internet Explorer favorites are used to save links to sites that you want to visit again. Creating a list of favorites allows you to visit those sites with a single click, rather than having to type the site's URL each time you want to visit it.
Creating Favorites
  1. Open the site you want to mark as a favorite
  2. From the toolbar, click ADD TO FAVORITES» select Add to Favorites...
The Add a Favorite dialog box appears.

  3. OPTIONAL: In the Name text box, type a new name
NOTE: Favorites are listed alphabetically by the first word of the name.
  4. OPTIONAL: To place this favorite in an existing folder, in the Create in pull-down list, select the desired folder
    OR
To create a new folder for this favorite
    1. Click NEW FOLDER
The Create a Folder dialog box appears.
    2. In the Folder Name text box, type a name for the new folder
    3. To create this folder within another folder, in the Create in pull-down list, select the desired folder
    4. Click CREATE
  5. Click ADD
The site is saved in the Favorites Center list.

- Display Options for the Favorites Center The Favorites Center contains all the favorites you have created and saved. By default, this list appears only when you click the Favorites Center button in the toolbar. If you would prefer to keep the Favorites Center list in a panel at the left of your screen at all times, however, you may choose to pin it to the window.
NOTE: The Favorites Center displays only sites that you have saved in the Favorites Center Links folder. If you saved sites in a subfolder of the Favorites Center, be sure to click through the folders displayed in the Favorites Center to find your site.
Pinning the Favorites Center: Toolbar Option Pinning the Favorites Center allows it to appear on the left side of your screen at all times.
  1. From the Command toolbar, click TOOLS» select Toolbars » Favorites
To unpin the Favorites Center
  1. From the Command toolbar, click TOOLS» select Toolbars » deselect Favorites
Pinning the Favorites Center: Favorites Center Option
  1. From the toolbar, click FAVORITES CENTER
The Favorites Center pop-up list appears.

  1. On the toolbar, click FAVORITES CENTER
    The Favorites Center appears.
  2. From the Favorites Center, click the desired favorite
The site is opened and the Favorites Center closes.
Opening a Favorite: Pinned List Option
  1. From the Favorites Center, click the desired favorite
The desired site is opened, and the Favorites Center remains open.
Additional Information for Favorites Storage Location For on-campus users, Favorites are stored on your H: drive: H:\Config\Internet Explorer. This location makes them available to you regardless of which network machine you are working on.
For home users, your Favorites are stored as part of your profile on your machine. While the location may vary, a common path to locate your Favorites is: C:\Documents and Settings\username\Favorites
If you cannot locate the path, you can do a search for Favorites with Windows Explorer.

I hope this will solve your issue.

Good Luck.

Arjun
