For the cutter to work it is necessary to instruct the printer to "Use the cutter" This setting is usually accessible in the printer driver. Your label program interacts with the printer driver. Ensure that the cutter option is selected in the printer driver.

Zebra 110xi4 labels jam going into the cutter

This is usually related to the setup of the printer. Check that there is no backfeed set up, and that the settings are on for calibration on head close.

I have two zebra printers 140XIIII Plus. Printing labels from the same database file. One prints the characters in boold the other one doesn't. Is this because of the driver? How can I make the two...

You would have to look at the Zebra programming language(ZPL) being sent to the printer. Are you writing your own code or using a labeling software package ? The printer driver will convert to ZPL if using a labeling software package. You didn't say if the two printers are connected to the same PC or two PC's. Check your formats if two PC's. Something else is going on if both printers are connected to the same PC.

Cutter jammed

if you take the side off, and then the power supply, you will see a sensor and a flag, check for wear / damage. sometimes the allen bolt that holds the lower cutter linkage can come loose. try cleaning the sensor. also the connections from the cutter board need cleaning with ipa. if that doesnt solve the issue, you can take the cutter off, remove the silver plate and remove any label debris. if all this fails to solve the problem you will probably require a cutter board or sensor.

After cutting the label the printer pulls media back about 1/2''

you can adjust the tear off position.
check if need the backfeed and what setting, if you need, you be able to stop doing that (no back feed) but can change the print on the lable.

Ribbon and media sticking together bypassing cutter

Make sure that the ribbon options are turned on the printer. If you recently switch from using thermal stock which doesn't require a ribbon, then it needs to be turned on in the control panel of the printer.

If it is on, remove the ribbon cartridge from the unit and manually turn the wheels to make sure it is moving freely.

Printing die cut labels on Zebra Z4Mplus?

Set the printer to transmissivefrom reflective gap sensing.

This will cause the printer to loog for the inter-label gap to tell it where the top of the label is at.
