Cannot turn on garmin 250. Just a blank screen.

Unit was working fine. I left it on charge in my car overnight in minus five degree temperature. Next day it would not activate. There is NO reset button on the rear of this unit. Even looked under the sticker on the rear left. When I give an external power supply there is zero reaction from the receiver. What to do?

After charging my nuvi 1450LMT for four hours, I disconnected it from the power cord and left it overnight. When I turned it on the next morning, I got the Garmin logo, then a white screen flashed on...

How did you charge it? If you did not use a high power USB charger, try that overnight. A USB charger provides a lot more powr than your PC. Leave it plugged in and off overnight.

If that does not work, Amazon sells battery replacement kits.

Charge it overnight on the wall charger --- this helps - then if nothing - - reset -
turn the unit on and press your thumb in the lower right corner - then select YES on the next screen - reboot if fully charged and off you go.

Hi

I had a similar problem, the screen lock while trying to turn GPS on. Tried all butttons and bezel operations, left it charging overnight - no joy. Eventually pressed and held both buttons and after about 30 secs (did not time it but was about that) it restarted.

Good luck!

Charging time

I called Garmin re this question. They said about 4 hrs in the car, about 6-8 on the computer. I left mine plugged to the USB port overnight and have a full charge. BTW Radioshack sells an AC adapter for about 30 bucks. If if also works for the latest iPod I think I will go with it. 4hrs.. says Garmin

Waking up your c330...

If you left your Garmin c330 on running the battery will have 1% life left. If you turn c330 back on again, it will flash screen for 3 seconds then die, even charging it at this point will not wake it back up. TO BRING IT BACK TO LIFE... plug in the power home or car into Garmin c330. There is a tab in the front Garmin gray frame of your screen. You must take like your fingernails and under the logo "GARMIN" pull the whole gray plastic frame off. Underneath the plastic frame to the right hand side. There is a "RESET" button. Make sure power is plugged in while hitting reset. Your battery should come back to life. Cheers

Can not get StreetPilot C340 to turn on

Frank, the ownwer's manual says to protect unit from extreme temperatures stated as "32 degree F to 122 degree F" or "zero degree C to 50 degree C" You said about a year and a half of use and then in the "Glove Box" so from August to January, there had to be clear sunny hot days in August, resulting temperature in car (depending on your lattitude) going up 140 to 150 degrees F... Just hope you're Canadian.... or maybe you toasted it.... sorry. Good Luck GB_C

Garmin Nuvi 350 GPS, not working

Hello, Here was my problem. I was traveling at 60mph yesterday and my Nuvi 360 dislodged and fell down with a huge impact inside my car. I came home and tried to look for any damage. Unfortunately Nuvi had stopped to continue beyond loading maps screen. I tried rebooting , but the problem persisted. It would take me to reboot screen, but after screen calibration, when it came to loading map screen, again went blank. I tried this and just simple starting by pushing power button several times but to no avail. I called technical support, eho advised me to to just simply connect it to my labtop and leave it that way for 3 to4 hours. Bingo!, in the next 30 mins, I accidentally switched my laptop top off, but Nuvi had started to work all fine.
