Where is the filter on my Central Cooling Air Conditioner York LR49182C (Serial no. EFFS160427) (Model no. M/HD036SC) ?

Your furnace filter or A/C filter is located next to the floor in your cold air return into the furnace. Your other problem is your condensate line out of the A/C box that sits on top of your furnace is plugged. Replace your filter in the cold air duct, and remove your condensate line from the A/C box and blow air in the line to remove the clog in the line.

Whirlpool model WC260A-1A cannot find manual and central air conditioner will not turn on worked well 2 days ago.

Does the fan turn on when you have it set to cool? does the furnace still work? Does the fan auto, and on options still work?(for example when on its on, when auto, and neither the cool or heat functions should be running, the fan is off)? Basicly i'm asking your to test your thermostat right now.

Ac outside..copper tubes freeze up,not cooling well inside

No! Check the condenser isn't clogged up first. Then check all internal filters and fans. Check for leaks with an electronic detector and repair any leaks before vacuuming the system and maybe then replacing the refrigerant.

My A/C blowing air, but it is not cool. It has started freezing up. We just replaced the air filters and since then it is freezing up. We even gently cleaned the a/c coils before replacing the filters. ...

Hello, sounds like it is either a low charge or lack of airflow, what type of filter are you using? sometimes those filters that claim to be super effecient will actually cut down on your airflow and cause the ac to freeze up.

My central air unit comes on but it's not cool and

to me it sounds like filter are dirty, need to be cleaned or replaced, home systems, packaged or otherwise are hermetically sealed and should not need freon recharge. Always start with airflow and/or unit being set too low. An AC unit of any type will build ice if a) the filter is plugged up and can't move enough air, b) it has been run without the filter, clogging the coil, again, not moving enough air, c) setting an AC unit below 68 degrees F will almost ALWAYS cause icing, and d) running a standard AC when it's warm inside and cold outside (unless equipped for "low-ambient operation"). When in doubt, a bit of maintenance(thorough cleaning) by someone with AC skills can cure a b, common sense will cure c d.

Cooling problem with my ac.

The start capacitor may be the problem. Is your AC a central unit or window unit? Whats the model and make? If a window unit it could also be the thermostat is defective or too close to evaporator fins. Dirt on the condenser outside can cause the motor to heat up to the point it shuts down to cool the internal overload. Let me Know, Sea Breeze

My airconditioner is just not cooling the way I feel it should. The thermostat never shows lower than 81 degrees. I have it set down as low as 68 but it only cools to 81

Is this a central unit or a window unit. The central unit does 15*----18 * temperature difference from the air comming in the return air grill to the air going out the supply air grills...9*----to ----14* degree different, and the unit is low on freon,, 15*--18* and the charge of freon is perfect, 19-----22* difference, then the air flow is too low , due to either a dirty filter,, dirty squirell cage blower wheel, and last , but not least, the ac inside coil is plugging up!
