I have a Acer Aspire 7560-7183 Laptop computer and cannot find the turn on switch for the wireless on it. Can you help?

The driver for your wireless card should be HERE.

If that doesn't enable it, you can go to the Acer drivers site and download the driver for your system HERE.

You can Select
"Notebook, Ultrabook" --> "Aspire" --> "Aspire 3680"

Then select your operating system from the pop-up and select the Drivers tab.

Locate the Wireless LAN switch located on the front of your Acer Notebook. This could be located on the upper row on a laptop it will have the radiation look (((•))) Make sure its pressed on. Move the switch to the right to turn on Wireless connections. Right-click the network icon located on the system tray next to the clock. You should see a list of available wireless networks. Select the network you want to connect to and click "Connect."

Power on the Acer Aspire laptop. Right-click the wireless Internet icon in the lower right corner of the desktop. Select "Enable" from the pull-down menu. Right-click the wireless icon again. Select to view all available wireless networks in the area. Momentarily a window appears with all of the available Wi-Fi networks. Select the Wi-Fi network you want to connect to, then type in the password (if required). Click "Connect," and your Acer Aspire computer connects to the Internet. Hope this helps.

somehow my my acer aspire 5560 decided to turn off wireless capability by itself ... thank goodness i jumped onto the desktop computer and typed into Google " How do I turn on my wireless capability on my acer aspire 5560 ' your directions were spot on ... I dont know anything about fixing computers , so i just want to thank you for your simple instructions that helped me to get my laptop functioning again perfectly ... on my laptop the keys were FN (funtion Key) & F3 ....... much appreciated !!!!

Aspire 3005 on the lower right-hand side of your laptop

Aspire One, in the lower right corner of the palm rest is a small strip with a picture of an antenna on it. An LED to the right of the strip lights to indicate the wireless is turned on.

wireless capability on my acer laptop is a switch that you toggle on the front of the computer.

I suspect that you just need to slide the switch over and release to turn the light on for WiFi and also to turn the WiFi capability on.

The wireless switch is on the front edge of the laptop, just to the left of the headphone jack. Below is a link to your service manual, save a copy for yourself for future refernce. You'll need adobe acrobat reader to read the file.

Not shure how to help with the modems power issue without knowing the modems name but make shure the power cord is secure may aso try "start" "Control Panel" "Network connections" right click on "Wireless Network Connections" click on "properties" then click on "Internet Protocol" then "properties" make shur the "Obtain an IP address automatically" has the dot. if it does then try to go to the modems IP address this should be on the bottom or the back of the modem and config you wirelees setup from there, GL hope this helps.

The Aspire 3680's wireless adapter is not compatable with vista basic. You will need to go to acers website and download the newest patch driver.

At the top of your key board right below the power button, there is a row of hotkeys the far left one is the wireless button.
