1994 Eagle Summit is hard to start in mornings but works great all day after it is going. Then it happens all over again the next morning. There is an engine code but don't know how to get it. Is it the...

Your car is fuel injected and has a fuel pressure regulator valve that allows fuel to return to the tank, one sure sign that the valve is bad is that it allows all the fuel pressure to return to the tank so you must crank and crank which in truth is not what gets it going. You attempting to start it multiple times is turning the fuel pump on for @ 30 seconds. Untill you have the valve tested try turning the key to on, when the pump stops running (whirring or light buzzing sound) turn the key off and back on again. After a few times the pressure should be built up enough to start the engine.

Car starts in the morning, but does not want to accelerate...

Check your cold start curcit in the fuel injection. It puts extra fuel in to help it run when cold ( used to be a choke on old carbs) then when you restart it the engine has warrmed enough to run without the cold strt curcit.
If you just start is and don't move it just let it run will it clear up and not die?

Fill transmission fluid on 19999 audi a4

LISTEN CLOSE. THERE IS A PLUG ON PAN. REMOVE IT. WITH A SYRINGE TYPE CANISTER YOU NEED TO INJECT THE FLUID INTO IT UNTIL IT STARTS TO COME OUT. THEN CAREFULLY START VEHICLE AND INJECT ANOTHER 3/4 QUART UNLESS IT STARTS TO COME OUT OR EVEN A QUART.LET IT RUN FOR 5 MINUTES THEN CONTINUE TO INSERT UNTIL IT OVERFLOWS AND TIGHTEN THE PLUG BACK TO THE PAN. i WOULD ONLY USE AUDI VOLKSWAGON FLUID AND YES IT CAN RUN $14 TO $18 A LITER

No start - good spark, no fuel

Hi hgudmund,
If you have fuel injection, (the diagnosis will be different than for carbs)....What I would suggest, as a first step, replace the fuel filter....

If there is still no improvement, this is how the pump should operate with fuel injection. the pump should start when the ignition is turned on and after a short burst, cut out, until the engine is cranked up, at which time the pump will run all the time ....

Checking the fuel delivery can be dangerous without the correct equipment for the injection system.....You'll need a fuel pressure test guage....The injection pressure should run at around three and a half bar, minimum....if it's lower than that, you'll need to replace the pump....

There are more tips that I can pass to you, but before I do please let me know how you get on with the first stages....and let me know if we are in fact dealing with injection or carburation?

best regards Johngee10
