How to replace starter for 2000 Isuzu Redo V6

Below are some instructions for you. Yes the pipe has to be removed in order to get the strarter out once it has been unbolted from the engine/transmission. Looks like it's possible to do it without removing the pipe but believe me I have tries and it just wont come out unless you do remove the pipe. Hope this helps and don't forget to disconnect the ground wire on the battery before you start the job. Installation is in reverse order as taking it off.

My badger 9 disposal just stopped working. It is less than 2 years old. The blades turn freely, the reset button is in. It does not make any noise. Any other ideas?

1) Test disposal is getting electricity and switch is not bad.
Pull out switch so you can test wires:
Switch in ON position.
Use ordinary tester and test each brass screw to bare ground wire.
Tester should light up on each screw.

2) Next open wire connection at disposal and test & check wiring.
Be careful under the sink. Do not touch anything metal while working on live electricity.
Stay on completely dry surface.

3) In event of bad disposal, I wrote installation tips.
These tips do not include installing new disposal and taking old one back in same box as if it was a defective product.

When I worked apartment maintenance, we replaced disposal with same size and brand disposal.
That way we didn't have to change out sink basket or move pipes around under the sink.
How to: Disconnect 2 nuts on p-trap and trap falls loose.
Rotate steel connector disk that holds disposal to sink basket, and disposal comes off.
Before installing new disposal.
Attach electric wire to new disposal.
Attach dishwasher tube to new disposal. Knock out plug inside dishwasher opening.
Push new disposal up into place, and attach to old sink basket.
Use new connector washer.
Attachment ring catches at three points, all three have to connect.
You can use bottle jack to lift disposal if you have problem.
Re-assemble tubular pipe.

You might want to install new sink basket that comes with new disposal because it looks shiny and new.
Buy a tub of plumbers putty also.
Remove old sink basket and clean sink opening.
Put finger-size roll of plumbers putty around sink opening, and then push new strainer basket into plumbers putty.
Tighten basket from below, wipe away excess putty around sink opening.
Install new disposal as described above.

Tips for tubular pipes:
When taking apart tubular pipes, start at p-trap and take apart as few pieces as needed to do job.
On image above, loosen both upper and lower nuts, trap falls loose, and then work on disposal.
Any tubular drain pipe that gets moved while working under sink needs to be disassembled, cleaned and re-assembled.
Metal pipes have rubber washer >> always use new rubber washers.
Plastic pipes have plastic washers > plastic washers can be cleaned and re-used.
Plastic washers have flat side that goes toward nut, tapered side away from nut.

When reassembling tubular pipe, we use rectorseal on washers and joints.
Slap a good amount on washer just before pushing washer in place and attaching nut.
Rectorseal will ensure tubular drain pipes won't leak.

My water heater is leaking a lot. water comes from the down bellow. It started like three months ago but it is getting worst Do I need to replace it? how much it will cost a similar one?

It sounds like you need to replace it, Actual cost can very widrly depending on your location but I would say $350-400 is probably close. Plus installation unless you can do it yourself. Hope this helps. Thanks

What does the Water Temp Shorted message mean as I can not fire up the heater for the spa

You have two sensors coming from the box at the equipment. One will be hanging just below the box. The other will go to a pipe and have a stainless steel clamp holding it in the pipe. This is the one you will need to replace.
After shutting the pump down remove the clamp and pull probe from pipe then follow the wire back inside the box. You will need a small screwdriver to remove wires and install wires from new one. Then just mount back in pipe.

Schematics for Spark plug wire installation

Hi,

If you are planning on replacing plug wires on a Discovery this solution will help. This task requires minimal tools, with fair to moderate mechanical skills. I'm not going to do a step by step instruction, but just point out some things to be aware of.
1) Coolant pipe in to manifold must be removed. It has a small o-ring you may want to replace . Removal caused minimal coolant loss.
2) You may have to loosen th 8mm bolts at the lower portion of the coil bracket and let it lean towards the firewall, this will allow for easier installation of the air plenum.
3) The black bracket which sits on top of the coil bracket and holds the secondary air pipe can be assembled onto the secondary air pipe loosely prior to installing the air plenum.
4) Wire Loom : Utilize these looms to preset layout order of the wires. Attach to secondary air pipe. This will allow for an easy install into the looms on the rear of the air plenum, since they'll be in order.
5) A little bit of Nye Lubricant on the o-ring for the coolant pipe.

Hope this helps.

Take care..

The upstairs portion of my cetral vac works fine. the downstairs portion never has worked.

There are two components involved here, wiring and pipe.
Have someone go to the vac and turn on manually, briefly while you go to an inlet on the lower portion downstairs and open the door. Then shut the vac off.
If you have suction downstairs at this point with the vac turned on manually , your pipes are all connected and the issue is the wiring for the lower level of the house. It will need to be connected to the wiring from the upper level. A good installer will have roughed in the system with the necessary wiring running along the pipe from each inlet. You should find a piece of wire hanging beside the pipe at each of the lower inlets. This low voltage wiring will need to connect to the main line by colored sequence. Your problem may be as simple as a bad splice where the wiring connects to the main line , or a second wire hanging inside the wall behind an inlet which has either come loose or been omitted. Do not unscrew the connection screws at the back of the inlet screws fully where the wires connect as they contain a spring loaded terminal which may fall apart.

If you have no suction, the piping has either not been connected to the pipe from upstairs or your lower piping is clogged. You will need to trace back and find your main floor "drops" in proximity from below , then connect them into the balance of piping for the system, being certain to connect the wiring at the same time. Post back with what you find and if you need more help.
Last of all if you actually have moderate suction on the lower level, but not enough , you may have blockage in the lower line or a leaking valve door upstairs. If clogged you will need to use another vacuum a ad draw the blockage out at a lower floor inlet, generally the one closest to the vac.
Please post to confirm what you have found.

Birds in flu

Buy a small piece of chicken wire.
One additional piece of PVC pipe, and a coupling.

Cut the chicken wire the exact size of the outside diamiter of the pipe, place it on the end of the pipe and install the coupling over it.

The chicken wire "screen" will be help in place by the pipe wall, the internal ring on the coupling, and the PVC glue. Cut the pipe to the length you need and install it on the intake pipe outside the wall.

96 or108 inch downrod for a hunter ceiling fan

FIrst, go to the Hunter website and see if they make one. If they do, then go to their "Where to Buy" link, and see who sells Hunter products, and call them to see if in stock.

If worse comes to worse, got to a hardware store and buy a piece of black iron gas pipe the correct length with threads on each end. You will probably have to get cross holes drilled through the threads to match the short stub pipe that comes with the fan.
Buy some spray paint while there that matches the color you want.
Buy some stranded wire, enough to run the length of the pipe, plus the length of the fan, plus excess to extend beyond the end of the pipe and out the junction box of the fan. It would be best to buy a length of the following colors to match what is already in the fan, and that should be white, blue, and black.

Once home, clean the pipe with solvent, then paint to match with the paint you bought. After it dries, push the wires down through the pipe, and rest the fan near where the fan end of the pipe will be.

Open the junction box of the fan and pull the factory wires through the center shaft. Take the wires extending from the pipe and slide through the hollow fan shaft until they extend out the bottom. Cut each of the factory wires short, then strip the end, and the end of the new wire of the same color, and wire nut together. Do this for the remaining 2 wires.

Screw the pipe into the top of the fan, install the cross pin and cotter.

Move the hanging components from the supplied fan hanging stub to the new pipe, making sure to install exactly as removed from the stub.

Follow the installation directions from here.
