Disable other bios setup and enable only the hard-disk.The procedure is these:put on your machine for the first time immediately press (F2) button.if it refuse to display off your machine and restart Then immediately press (F9). when it display the setup locate and select boot menu it will display all the booting function such as: CD/DVD RW, HARDDISK,ADAPTER AND SO ON just select each one it will show two options:ENABLE/DISABLE. you just select disable for others except HARDDISK should be ENABLE.finally, close it and apply save& exit.restart your computer it will definitely boot up.

SOURCE: Screen to gateway NV59 won't turn on

If your laptop appears to boot up and the hard disk LEDflashes, then the problem is probably a back light fault. This can be a faultyinverter or a faulty CCFL lamp. Please click on this link and follow myinstructions to identify the fault and possible fix :- http://www.fixya.com/support/r3598095-faulty_laptop_lcd_screen

SOURCE: gateway lt2032u won't boot

Did you use a static mat or band to discharge any electrical activity out of the body, if not you probably had a static buildup and discharged it on the main board causing a disruption in the data flow, you may need to re-install your operational system.

Windows won't start up? Well, try this Download Tenorshare Data Recovery from its offical site and install it. Burn it into CD/DVD, or USB flash, put into the computer you need to repair, Bios setting. It can make sure your important data will not lose. Best of luck

1. Flip your unit over to its back and remove the battery.

2. Remove the screws on the large cover and remove the cover.

3. You will find the memory and hard drive under that cover.

P.S you should use a static guard to remove any of those parts.

Hope this helps

I bought a new laptop Acer Gateway NE56R. When i start the laptop, it is taking to some page to view the licence for Linpus. If i don't view the conditions, the laptop is shut down after 15 minutes. If...

If the unit is new under warranty return it to where you purchased it.

If not and you do not need Linpus on your unit, boot into safe mode and run a msconfig.

Put a check mark next to the application which you no longer want to load.

Restart your unit and see if you can navigate into windows.

Hope this has helped you.

Hp pavilion dv9000 takes a long time to get past the bios screen. It won't boot of dvd either??

Check BIOS boot options and assign local hard drive as first for faster boot. This is also where you set CD\DVD as first to boot from disc. Look for F Key press on start up. It will be shown on screen. These can vary.

Many HP machines also have a boot menu option during boot. Again an F key and may vary.

Acer 5733z-4633 is stuck in a sort of boot loop. Won't enter bois setup or boot device options screen. Is this a hard drive issue?(it kinda makes a funny clicking noise then starts all over to try

Yes! it does sound like the hard drive is bad, remove hardware to see if you can enter bios and boot device, if yes the hard drive needs to be replaced, if no change there is a secondary problem.

Gateway GM5442 PC Desktop Won't Boot!

3 BEEPS -RAM

Guest Posts: n/a 01-24-2005 We had a power failure in the office this weekend. All the systems are back
up and running fine, except for the receptionists. It's a Gateway
Professional Series. P4 1.3 Ghz. It is giving me three beeps. No boot up
screen and no video source (monitor light stays yellow instead of turning
green). I looked up the beep code and it says three beeps means the ram
needs reseated. Which I have done several times. Also, I have just put in
one stick in difference seats. I have also reseated all the cards at least
three times. I have switched the jumper to try to boot into setup mode.
Nothing there either. Popped out the cmos battery and put it back in. No
good either.

Has all the ram been fried? The fan on the cpu is still spinning. The cd-rom
ejects. I can't hear the hard drive spinning. I guess I can swap the hard
drive for a different one.

Anything I'm missing? YEP
