Question about Office Equipment & Supplies
Fisher price imaginext batcave front door. I got a dud of a batcave. After succesfully fixing the broken elevator and the front hook.. I am stumped on the assembly of the front door. The front door didn't open and close fully at all because of sloppy gear aligment. I cannot figure out where the spring and "U" shaped plastic piece attach to the area with the gears for the purple spinner part behind the door.(see image) A simple picture would help me greatly if you don't mind. Thanks

SOURCE: paper folds and jams before
your description points to a fuser assembly problem which is right where you looked. I'm not sure what that plastic piece is from. if it is black, it probably came from the fuser. That is a replaceable part, but I'm not sure you can still purchase them from Xerox.

The parking mechanism front spring has a tendency to come off in the C4x family of printers. Re-attaching it is a fiddly task not covered in the service manual. The pictures show: a general shot of the parking mechanism from the front; a shot of the actuation lever, illustrating where the front spring attaches to it; a view into the empty parking mechanism compartment showing where the lug is to which the bottom end of the front sprint attaches; a suggested tool for re-attaching the front spring, made from a large paper clip.
Proceed as follows, using a torch where necessary: lift the parking mechanism out its holder; be careful not to detach the drain pipe. Using the tool, attach one end of the spring to the lug at the bottom of the parking mechanism compartment. Remove the tool and leave the spring laying at the bottom with one end attached to the lug. Replace the parking mechanism in its holder, with the actuation lever in place. Now for the fiddly bit! Peer into the compartment to locate the free end of the spring and get the tool on it. Pull the spring until you can put the free end over the lug on the actuation lever. Remove the tool.
