A dent will not affect tracking unless it cause a gross deformation of the hull which actually has a steering effect to push it one way or the other. This would be quite a big dent, or right on the bow or maybe stern. Tracking is more related to paddle skill than almost anything else, although some short boats, especially white water boats, are hard to track. Many kayakers paddle harder on one side or the other without realizing it. It can be hard for even an instructor to identify what is causing it.

Oilcanning is a fairly common problem usually caused by improper storage or transport of your kayak, especially if it's hot out. Gently heating your hull (either by laying your kayak upside down in the sun on a warm/hot day or by using a heat gun CAREFULLY) MIGHT pop the dent out. If you were dealing with a single-hulled kayak, a little gentle pressure on the area with the dent while it's warm/hot would definitely do the trick. Not sure how I would approach a double hulled kayak, but it would probably be a combination of heat and pressurizing the inside of the hull or heat and water on the inside of the hull...would have to experiment.

If i can keep my number

It really depends on your ability to be patient with Straight Talk customer service. One night, I was on the phone with Straight Talk from 8:00 until 11:45 working to port a number. ATT had released the number, and for some reason Straight Talk couldn't capture it. It was frustrating. It wasn't the person from Straight Talk being difficult, it was the system. Bottom line, be patient, if this is what you want to do. Good luck!

Check the entire craft for brittle areas. It means that SUN-BAKING
has occurred. If the dent can be accessed from a port on the deck it is not a problem, but if it cannot, it may prove to be a weak spot. No WEAK SPOTS are allowed in a sit-on-top kayak. Get the longest craft you can transport/afford/lift always!

Is this kayak very stable in the ocean

I read all the reviews of the boat I could find, all were VERY positive, all said the boat was very stable in all water conditions, the only draw back comment I ran across is that it is fairly heavy, but that is due to its rugged design, so really you can't have it both ways.
Having Kayaked in the Ocean many time myself I would buy this boat for that purpose after what I read. Here are some transcripts of the reviews I read

"used one of these while on vacation in canada, and i'm hooked it was very sable on rough waters, and we also took it out and went fishing ."
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

"The Future Beach Freedom 160 is a nice stable boat with a rugged and durable build. Due to it's weight the boat is a bit on the slow side and a challenge to move around. Storage at the front of the boat is limited but could be expanded with a small modification. I am sure that this would be a great boat for fishing and other water sports (i.e. snorkling, SCUBA)."
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

"Love this boat, Amazing Quality, superb tracking
An absolute pleasure to use !!!!!!!!"
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Very hard to go into corners, it seems to fight me while I want it to go into curves.

If the problem is that when you turn the handlebars you feel as if it is almost locked into wanting to go straight your steering head bearings are dented and need replacing.
The denting happens when the steering head bearings not adjusted and loose causing hammering effect denting the bearing races.

I have a 2005 90hp yamaha on a 17' xpress bass boat. i can only turn 5200 rpm when you get to 4800 rpm the boat starts bouncing.

Check the running height of the motor. The prop shaft should be about one inch below the straight line of the bottom of the running bottom of the boat. With a cleaver prop it may be lower.A chopper prop is the best and you can run every bit of that.2 inches if pitch is = to about 500 revs.Try a few props 1st before you pay the dollars for a new one.The bouncing is the wrong transom height and prop. You don,t need a cav plate if the boat is set up right.(a cav plate extension like a manta).Bad dealers may want to sell you these.A well set up boat doesn't.I've set up and run a lot of ski racing boats and all have never needed any "bolt on parts".Its mainly a motor height and prop selection thing.Hope this helps

Lost f/x across all tracks prior to Mastering on Roland 2480cd

Double check that you haven't inadvertently muted or turned down the effect returns. Also make sure they haven't been inserted elsewhere as they wont work as post effects while inserted into a single channel. If you are using some effects, it will cancel the effect card's ability to use its second channel. (ex. mastering suite)

Just rec new stroller.Should there be 2 dents in the top cross bar located on the back and 2 dents in the bottom cross bar located underneath?

I bought one of these a couple of weeks ago and mine has the same dents, think its because they have to cross over each other so one of each bar isnt totally straight. seems as though its a standard thing.

Kayak drifting to the left

These boats are very short and have a smooth hull with very little keel. Because of this they will not track well and will have a tendency to turn.

You don't say how experienced a paddler you are.
Check also that you are holding your paddle equi distant from both blades. You may be unconsciously paddling harder with your right hand if you are right handed. Most of us are one-side dominant. You may also be sitting slightly diagonally in the boat without realising it. Experiment with shifting your position. Also consider a backrest if one is not already fitted.

You can fit a skeg to the stern whichwill improve straight line tracking. Abit like a fixed rudder. Use heavy duty elastic to hold it onto the boat stern.
