Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Acer one. want to play dvd I bought in Bali, Have external drive. Do i have to have special software. it is ntsc. bought computer in usa

Try downloading VLC media player (freeware). It will play a DVD without a special decoder needed. Computers don't really care about NTSC or PAL. If you want to convert for home DVD player try WinAVI or ConvertX to DVD, both will allow conversion to and from NTSC and PAL formats.

Samsung wont play entire divx movie

If you are talking about the fact that this player zooms picture when playing divx and does not allow manual correction, my solution was to go out and buy a pioneer player today (DV-220VK). It's strange as the samsung plays normal dvd format fine but they have obviously got the divx playback wrong. So far the pioneer has been great!

Dvd

do you mean wont play on dvd players (connected to tv)
if so its because the software you are using is not compatable.or the way you are burning them.for instance if you use nero dvd (mp4)you can only view with nero but you can config to use with any player. If you mean it wont play on other computers its usually wrong format.you can maybe cure this by updating dvd drive firmware.

Samsung portable dvd player

those kinda players wont play DVD rom disks and certain ones that are made up. DVD-RAM or ROM wont work. Try blowing inside the player for any dust. if it still doesnt work its the maufacters problem. The player will play CD-G audio only, not graphics The ability to play back DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+R, DVD+RW, CD-R, CD-RW, and CD-Jpeg discs may depend on recording conditions.
