Depends on what camera you carry. The menu options are different for different cameras.
But you should surely find a format option under your digital camera's menu options and if you don't then please let me know what model is your camera.

Ah .. I did not see, the question falls under a345 .. sorry for the silly question above .. If you see Setup menu options it has following options:
Image display, Power save, Format, Digital Zoom (on/off), Beep, Shutter, LCD, Date/Time, Time Difference, Frame number, USB Mode, Language, Video system, Discharge (for Ni-Mh batteries), Reset.
The third option is Format.
