Lots of water in bottom of refrigerator

At irregular intervals, sometimes two or three times a day, sometimes after two or three days, water pours out the square hole below the freezer and soaks things on the shelves before collecting in the trays and pan in the lower compartment. The gaskets all seem perfectly fine.

Every ten to twelve hours or more irregular intervals if equipped with an adaptive defrost control your refrigerator activates a heating element around the evaporator to defrost the accumulation of frost that develops on the evaporator. Behind the back panel there is an evaporator pan it has a rubber grommet with a hole in it this is your defrost drain hose it is clogged. Unplug or switch refrigerator off at breaker panel, remove panel covering evaporator area (rear panel in freezer), use a hair dryer or hot water to unclog defrost drain a turkey baster works well to make sure the hose is unclogged.
the water that drains down this hose accumulates in the defrost drain pan in the base of the refrigerator under normal operation the heat from the refrigeration system evaporates this water. The drain pan has a limited capacity so do not poor more than 20-25oz of hot water down the hose after you unclog it. If you poor to much it wont hurt anything just make a mess youll have to clean up.

Whirlpool refrigerator EL7ATRRMS08 Drip Tube Clogged

Best bet on that is to remove the evaporator cover and pour very hot water down the drain. Should be eight screws. Removing the drain tube should not be necessary to repair your issue.

Out Profile Artica Model PS25NGMD will leak water from the bottom of the fridge on occasion. When it leaks it leaks a lot. Sometimes it will go days without leaking and then leak a lot.

If you remove the bottom kick panel below the doors you will see a connector that connects the water supply for the door to the tube coming out of the bottom of the door. Take it off / on might get a good seal if not you should be able to buy another. I found a couple places online that have all the parts to this model.

Our Kenmore Elite french door bottom freezer, automatic icemaker, no water/ice dispenser on the door - is leaking quite a bit - had to mop up the floor three times today. first time it's happened since...

Check for cracks in the water supply tube from the house plumbing valve to the ice maker. Could also be the valve itself.

Turn off valve for a day to diagnose which.

Water builup in bottom of fridge

If the problem is in the fridge 1: it could be moisture being drawn from unwrapped vegetables. 2: if you have a "wet wall" fridge check no food wrapping is touching the wet wall.

Leaking from side of bottom freezer

Hello, this sounds like you have a blockage in the drain tube, remove panel back of freezer..you may see ice build up...melt ice with hair dryer/heat gun...you will see a pan below evaporator...melt ice in pan...dry water up in pan with paper towel...now you should see a hole in pan that leads to drain tube...pour some hot water in pan..wait a couple minutes..mop up water and repeat this step 2-3 times....once you have done this find some flexible curatain wire or electrical wire..poke down the hole until you see the water drain..now it is clear..put back panel back and you are good to go. The reason you see water in the Freezer is because the water has been leaking into the freezer instead of running into the drain hole...Please feel free to comment again if you need any further assistance. Leaking water in bottom of freezer

common issue.....sounds like a drain clog in the freezer compartment above. remove the freezer rear panel and totally defrost the evaporator area, directly under the evap you see( under all taht ice) a small drain hole that has become frozen over, try defrosting with either a hair dryer( not a heat gun too much heat youl melt everything) or by pouring hot water donw the drain until you get a free flow of water down the tube. after its clear reassemble and you should be fine

Freezer Problem: Only part of it is cold

It sounds like you have a plugged defrost drain line. This is where the water goes to in the bottom of your freezer when it goes through the defrost (removal of ice from the freezer coil) cycle. It sounds like that hole is plugged and now the water/ice has now frozen in the vent that lets air circulate down into your refrigerator compartment. What I usually do in this case is to unplug the refrigerator, empty out the freezer compartment. Usually I also end up either pulling off the back panel or the bottom panel (in the freezer compartment) Looking for that defrost drain hole and thawing it out with a heat gun (be careful of melting plastic) or actually I use a hair dryer. I can sometimes do this also by pouring small amounts of HOT tap water onto it and then sopping/absorbing it away with a sponge or dishcloth. I repeat this until I get the water to go down the drain tube
