Iphone 4 loud noise

I get a loud screeching noise through earpiece on Iphone 4 when I make a call. If I put it on speaker or headphone it goes away. What might be the problem?

SOURCE: speaker only works with headphones

it's probablyjust a defective earspeaker. Bring it to the apple store to see if you geta replacement through them. If you can't, there are third party iPhone repair services, that will fixed it for cheap. Also, I found an DYI iphone repair guide, so you can do it yourself too, not that difficult. SOURCE: iphone 4 not charging & overheating

Best bet with an IPhone is to take it back to your phone provider or to a apple store, If you do open it to mess with the insides you void all warranties! I would take it back and complain! They will fix it !

Good Luck and Best Wishes!

Ifthe volume level is normal using headphones, so clean the speaker side gently with a toothbrush. At times some dust could clog the little holes.

Whenever I restart my computer the speakers make a screeching sound for about 4 days

Update the sound drivers in your computer. It might be the reason why you are experiencing that issue. Once the drivers get outdated, the computer starts acting up. Updating them would do the trick.

You can find the updates in the website of your computer's manufacturer. If you don't want to do everything manually because it's time consuming and causes a lot of headaches, then you can use RadarSync.

I hope this helps!

When im talking on my iphone it keeps muting my calls or putting them on loud speaker is there away to stop this from happening?

It seems that the proximity sensor on your iPhone isn't working properly. The iPhone's screen should turn off when it is close to your face. If this does not happen, bring it into an Apple Store and they should replace it for you. (if your iPhone is still under warranty)

I cannot get any sound through headphones or internal speaker on my iphone 4 using apple remote which is paired with my home laptop windows 7 and my iphone .everything works ok except no sound when i play...

Using the apple remote app on the iPhone only changes the song on your home laptop with windows 7. To play songs through your headphones or internal speaker you have to use the iPod app that was preinstalled on your iPhone 4.

I have an iphone, of which we just replaced the screen with a new one. But now the speaker inside the phone has broken, can I replace with a new one

Yes you can replace it.

moz-screenshot.jpgAre your speakers not working on your iphone? You can't hear anything when someone tries to call you? This is a fairly common problem and unfortunately it is a hardware issue instead of a software issue, this means that simply rebooting the phone won't fix it. However there is a fix! I'll explain it:

  1. The reason for this is because there is probably dust or some other object lodged in your headphone dock, on top of your iPhone. So let's clean it! Go and grab a Q-tip and your earphones.
  2. Step 2 Just to double check, go ahead and restart your iPhone. There is a possibility that your iPhone doesn't fall into the hardware problem and it actually is just a software issue. If that didn't work, move onto step 3.
  3. Step 3 Now take your headphones and insert it into the headphone jack, pull it out, and then put it back in again. Try doing this several times and it should go back to normal. If that still doesn't work, go to step 4.
  4. Step 4 Take a Q-tip and cutoff the top so a very small amount of the cotton is on there. Damp the cut end in Windex and insert it into the headphone jack so you can clean it out. You will be surprised at how much dust is trapped in there! If you are still out of luck, move onto step 5.
  5. Step 5 If you are reading this step because your iPhone still doesn't work, then I'm sorry. The final solution is go to the Apple store. There is something wrong with your phone and it needs more attention than ear plugs and Q-tips. Don't bother calling Apple because they will tell you to plug and unplug your headphones 5 times as fast as you can (you could also try this again).
If problem still persist, you need to replace the speaker.

Follow the below mentioned to change speaker foam, if that would help :-

Unless follow the above one to change as well.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!
