SOURCE: steamed milk

I just had this same problem and solved it.  It was due to a very small amount of milk residue on the inside of the black frothing unit (the one with the dial which lets you choose foam or no foam).  Grip the dial firmly and pull it out while twisting. It may take a few seconds to twist and pull it out.  I had a very small spec of milk residue in one of the crevices on this piece.  Quick clean with a toothpick and plenty of hot water, reassembled, and it works perfectly.  Hope this helps someone.

SOURCE: the steam wand is bubbling the milk, not frothing

THere is a little black tube inside - make sure its pushed out enough - about 1/16 an inch from the bottom. And you may have to clean it out. Happens to us too and after I do the above it works

Testimonial: "Thank you very much for the advice. I adjusted the black tube and the frothing is back!"

SOURCE: My Nespresso milk frother did not come with

they make one that has the option of frothing milk hot or cold. Blue light is cold. Red light is hot. The red light will always heat the milk. To get to the blue light, you need to hit the button twice.( First will go to red)

Outlet pipe blocked. Descaling not helped.

You may have to clear the hole with some sort of thin probe, if you have a very small drill bit you can use that. You are only drilling out the hardened milk, not increasing the hole size so be careful. In the past I have used gas welding plant tip cleaners so if you know someone with an oxy/acetylene welder they should have a set of tip cleaners. If you have ever watched a barista frothing milk you would see that they ALWAYS blow an extra shot of steam into a damp cloth & wipe the outside of the nozzle after every use for frothing milk. This is to prevent exactly the problem you now have.

My Nespresso machine does not suck up milk from the container and only hot water comes out, plus the small cup button flashes orange, is there any way to fix that?

Espresso machines sometimes come with a milk steamer wand. If your wand is producing water instead of steam, your machine is not heating properly.
But no machine draws milk into itself. If would be near impossible to clean.
Do you still have the Nespresso instructions ?

Cappuccino and latte macchiato buttons blinking

The unit is heating the steam - the lights should switch to contant once the right temperature is reached. Make sure to always descale the machine if the cappuccino button light turns orange.

Miele CVA4070 Steam flow through heater blocked

when you remove the cappucinotore, ( the piece that sticks down with the chrome tube and rubber pick up tube) from the door, do you still get no steam? that piece should be removed and cleaned daily. if you dont, I would imagine that it is completely blocked with old milk and would block off the steam.

Steamed milk is not coming out

Clean the steam wand, it unscrews and needs to be cleaned, also, descale the machine once the blocked tube is cleaned. When milk dries it is like glue and clogs the steam wand. so clean it daily after use.

Also, I think you meant to say, steam for milk frothing is not coming out. If you meant steamed milk is not coming out, it's not supposed to do that. Some Saeco's can add an attachment called a milk island but not the magic comfort plus.

Steamer function doesn't work properly

We just had the very same issue and I went back to the product directions--we took things apart and thoroughly cleaned everything, especially each part of the sleeve. Once we put it back together we sat it next to the sink and ran it on steam with the water/steam going into the sink until it was running cleanly with a good steady flow. Fixed!! I'm so pleased because we love this machine...I'm totally addicted! Good luck.
