Programing the memory numbers

I no longer have the owners manual, and would like to program numbers into the memory. The phone is a Uniden 900 MHz, model number EX12960. I've tried pushing the memory button, won't let me enter a number, then tried memory, then select still can't enter a number

Re: programing the memory numbers

For most 'Uniden' cordless phones of which there are many listed, the manuals or most of them seem to be listed at:
I have three different model phones between house and garages and have managed to find the manuals (PDF version) at this site. Let the manual load and save in your documents or print a hard copy.
Hope all or most can find your answer to your problems.

Uniden makes many different 900 MHz phones. Select yours from the list beginning here.. If you're not sure of the model of your phone, click the "How do I know my product name or model number?" link on that page.

HI We would really like to purchase a phone Uniden 900 Mhz. We have one but its no longer working. Happy to pay whatever it costs to get same type/brand. Omar Merhi 0418 513 127

You can try EBay, they usually have at least one of everything available.

Here are some listings that came up when I searched for UNIDEN 900 CORDLESS PHONE:

Just use your mouse to click on the link, which is the underlined and highlighted text just above. This will open a new web browser page automatically for you and allow you to view the information at the website indicated.

You can always try different words in your EBay search and you will come up with different results. If you have the model number for your phone then try searching for that and you should get some better results.

Good luck.

Lost manual

Without the exact model it is difficult to find the manual.

Here the manual for 900 series/996:Uniden EZI996.

I also quote from manual:

Selecting the Ringer Tone and Volume

Base ringer on/off
The ringer switch allows you to set the base ringer on or
off. If you set the switch to off, you never hear the base
ringer tone.

Base ringer tone
Press the ringer tone button in standby mode to select one of 7 ringer tones.

Base ringer volume
Slide the ringer volume adjuster to set the base ringer volume.

Handset ringer tone and volume
Press the volume up key or volume down key (labeled as the volume/ /+ or volume/ /- key) in standby mode to select one of five ringer tones and volume combinations
