SOURCE: HELLO i HAVE THE mITSUBISHI wd60737 AND IT WILL NOT TURN ON. IT BLINKS THREE GREEN LIGHTS LIKE IT GOING TO TURN ON BUT THEN IT BLINKS RED ONCE AND TURNS OF. i TRIED THE HOLD FOR TEN SECONDS RESET THIN

First make sure the filters and vents are clean and the filter cover(s) are properly installed.

Try once more (DO NOT RESET). As soon as the TV shuts down, press the ACTIVITY/ENTER button and the CH Down button on the TV (not the remote control) and hold them for 5 seconds. The Status LED will start blinking an error code. The "normal" code is 12, which would be one blink, pause, then two blinks and a pause. The code is repeated five times. Post your results in the comments; I can look up the code for you.

What is the correct part# for a DLP: Mitsubishi WD60737 60", Serial#139599 Made June 2009?

If your set worked well (no lines, maybe only white or black scattered pixels) before you replaced the DLP chip, then your problem could be that the DLP chip did not get seated properly or the cam screws were not tightened enough after replacing the chip. The DLP chip must be seated properly in its socket or else line and column lines will be seen. There is also the possibility that the DLP chip is defective or suffered static damage while being handled during the installation. Hope this helps.

My mitsubishi wd60737 has black 2 inch stripe

Try pressing along the edge of the frame surrounding the LCD. Look for a disturbance in the "black line". If that shows up, you have lost the bond from the electronics to the LCD. Try using a piece of inner tube between the plastic frame and the chassis where you pressed to hold the connection together.

The "new device found" screen keeps popping up

Inspect for damaged pin on INPUT 1 socket. (left most of the three HDMI connectors)
A quick pull on the cable can damage the pins.
=== If you see mis-aligned pins then please power off the set before making corrective action. ===
============== Here's a textbook instruction from Mitsubishi
If the New Device Found Screen Displays No HDMI Control Option If the New Device Found screen shows no option for HDMI Control, one of these conditions applies: • HDMI Control is turned off in the menus of the new device Action: a. Highlight EXIT and press ENTER to close the New Device Found screen. b. Display the device's setup menus and enable the device's CEC capabilities. c. Wait for the TV's New Device Found screen to appear again. d. If the New Device Found screen does not appear, power off the device. Power on the device and wait for the New Device Found screen to display with the HDMI Control option.
Next time you see the NEW DEVICE FOUND screen pop up.
Toggle the CEC field (on the right side of the pop up) to OFF.
