SOURCE: air conditioner freezing up

Your unit is low on freon. Take the unit to a service facility & have it recharged & the leak repaired. Note that ice formation may normal if the outside temperature is below 45-50F. If you must use it in the meantime, leaving the unit on fan only will melt the ice much faster.

SOURCE: daikin split cycle air conditioner FTXD50J heaps

You will need to find where the unit is clogged and try and run something up through to snake it out. In regards to the whistling noise, this is usually caused when there is debris that has collected and the air is trying to be sucked through a previously open area. You may just need to do some general maintenance on the unit. The motors are sealed so there isn't any lubrication points on the motor. Follow the instructions from your owners manual and it can be found on the Daikin website. Sometimes it takes a few minutes to find the manuals but you can usually find them. I have been on the Daikin website so I know they are there.

I need to clean the dust out of my fan filter.

Remove the filter and vacuum it. Be sure to turn the AC Unit OFF & Unplug it, before removing the filter. Never operate the unit without the filter installed.

Hope this helped you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

After around an hour or so it starts to ice up and stops blowing cold

The problem you're having is generally caused by 2 things:

1. The air intake filter needs to be removed and cleaned.
2. Overly high humidity in your area.

Keeping the filter clean, will help the unit to move more air and slow the freezing process down, to where it will only be frost. Which is normal.

If the unit has not thawed, wait until it does before removing the filter to clean it. Be sure to turn the unit OFF & unplug it, before removing the filter.

Hope this helps you & thanks for choosing FixYa.

Is there a way to clean inside the air conditioner? I think there a big build up of dust inside.

Unscrew the front plastic panel. Clean the air filter with warm water and dry for 10 minutes. Take a used tooth brush and a mug with water. Dip the brush in water and then clean the coil gently. After complete the full area of the coil. wait for 5 minutes, and then blow it with blower. It may increase the cooling effect by 40 to 60%. Thanks.

How do I remove the front to replace the filter?

You have to pull at the top edge of the vented pannel in the front. It is a little hard to pull. It will hinge down and give you access to the filter. I find it is easiest to clean AC filters by running water through them in the sink.

The heat sistem is not working well is working but 30% of eficency than it was working beafore. It hear like water on it ..help im frezzing

Air conditioning real definition is not giving cool but removing heat from the room. In same way for heating, it's not heating, removing cool from the room. When your indoor coil, air filter and blower wheel are full of dust, you won't get even 30% of cool or heat depend on your selection.
Simple solution for your problem is clean indoor unit completely. Check all sensor is working well. In heat mode keep temp minimum +3 degree than room temp. thanks and helpful.

HEAVY WIND NOISE FREQUENTLY COMES, SIMILAR TO A STORM. FROM MY 1.5 TON **** LG UNIT

It is ttime tto et your AC serviced.Remove the front filter after removing the front grille , then take the full ocver after removing the screws from within.
Now pull the whole set out and take it outside. Use a good watter jet to clean the dirt in the condenser coils , the fan and the inside.
Finally use a good air jet to clean up all the clogged fins.
Have the filters cleaned. now check by manual rotation of the fan if there is bearing noise. use some light oil to lubricate the ends so lessen the sound, plug it outside and test. if sound has redduced wsh offf with oil once again, if not the bush/bearing must be changed.
reset the whole unit back to test.

Hi. We've been running our LG BP6000ER window unit air conditioner for four seasons. We've made seasonal efforts to clean the interior with a hose, but this year we're noticing a strong mold/mildew smell...

take it outside .get the hose .buy some coil cleaner hardware store .clean the coils good.. both of them .try to be carfull of the controls not to get them to wet ..cover them if you want ..after cleaning coils tilt unit to remove most of the water let it dry, use a fan its quicker should do the trick .it will work like new and smell better

Describe FC error in dawlance 1 ton AC

Its A filter clean indication that means your filters of air conditioner is full of dust and need to be clean.

To clear the FC message, open front panel of your ac and there will be a pinhole switch "Automatic" or "Reset". Keep it pressed for 5 seconds and FC will be removed.

My fujitronic is leaking water. Any solution?

hi friend,

Instructions
  1. Step 1 Pull the air conditioner from the window on a mild, sunny spring day. The sun shine will help in rapidly drying out the air conditioner after you perform the next routine process.
  2. Step 2 Place the air unit on a firm surface. Preferably a concrete slab or a few old boards. Do not place the unit on grass or dirt.
  3. Step 3 Use the screwdriver and remove the outer metal housing of the air conditioner. There are generally 4 to 6 screws along the lower edge of the cover that holds it to the frame.
  4. Step 4 Observe the inside of the air unit. Note that there is a plastic drain tray on the bottom. This drain tray carries away the condensation water from the cooling coil and allows it to flow to the outdoors and drip to the ground. The drain tray is plugged from last seasons collection of dust and bacteria growth.
  5. Step 5 Use the cup measure and pour some house bleach into the plastic tray. Allow the bleach to "work" on the nasty solids that have collected there for about 5 to 10 minutes.
  6. Step 6 Connect the gardenmag-glass_10x10.gif hose to the outdoor spigot and attach the spray nozzle to the hose.
  7. Step 7 Spray in the interior of the air unit with the moderate pressure from the spray nozzle. Force the water into the plastic drain tray and remove all of the solid debris that is laying there. Spray the interior and exterior coils as well since you have the unit cover off. You will have to remove the interior filter as well. Clean the filter while it is exposed.
  8. Step 8 Place another cup of bleach into the plastic drain tray and allow the liquid cleaner to set for about 5 to 10 minutes than thoroughly rinse the unit with fresh water. The inside area should be thoroughly clean.
  9. Step 9 Allow the unit to completely dry in the sun. When dry, replace the exterior cover and place the unit back into the window. The unit will be cured of leaking for another cooling season.
Tips & Warnings
  • Weekly cleanings of the interior filter will help in alleviating bacteria build up in the drain tray. Living in an outdoor dusty environment may create the need to perform the bleach cleaning more than just once a year
thank u for using fixya

regards,
sivaranjini
