Hi curtis, i have a craftsman 32cc bushwacker weed eater. i had to replace fuel line in tank with filter. i also replaced the second line in the tank which is alittle larger in diamiter. i have a primer bulb on the leftside of the weed eater with 2 ports. on the carb there is 2 ports. for lines. i hooked the fuel line from the top port of the carb to the top port of the primer bulb. i hooked the larger line coming out of the fuel tank on weed eater to the bottom port of primer bulb, i then hooked the smaller line coming out of fuel tank which has filter on in tank to bottom port on carb. the weed will start for a few seconds then it dies. what did i do wrong. very frustrated at this point. model # is 358.795800. i watched videon on you tube. it says to hook smaller line out of tank to bottom port on carb. please help. very much appreciate it. randal . rpsumthin@aol.com

Change the fuel lines over on the carby
you are trying to feed fuel through the primer line when the engine is running and that is why it is cutting out

SOURCE: need diagram on fuel lines on a 26 cc craftsman weed eater

The longest, and sometimes smaller in diameter of the two fuel lines, goes from the carburetor to the bottom of the tank. Leave enough slack in this line so that the filter that attaches to the end will rest comfortably at the bottom of the tank.

The other fuel line goes from the primer bulb to just inside the tank, (about an inch). make sure that you get the right size fuel lines. The plastic coupling goes on the end of this line, inside the tank. This keeps the line from pulling out of the tank.

(HINT): When feeding the lines through the tank holes, cut the lines at an angle. They will feed much easier into the holes. You can than cut them off square, once you know that you have enough to work with.

If you need further assistance, just let me know.

SOURCE: My Craftsman 17cc gas weed trimmer wouldn't start.

Hi There, Check the primer bulb for tare or pin holes. Replace it. Check and clean carb jet it maybe plugged with debree. Also check for spark which you didn't say. Replace with correct plug.
Note; Do not use strong cleaners on rubber seals (O rings and gaskets) They dry up and crack.
If needed use a dabble of grease on seals

Repairing fuel line on craftsman 32cc weed trimmer.

Cut the end of the line at a sharp angle. Spray WD-40 on the line and fuel tank hole. Slowly screw the line in the tank far enough so you can connect the fuel filter if you are replacing that line. If not just push the line into the tank if you have a two line system. Remember on the fuel primer, the long tip has the line going to the tank, and the short tip has the fuel line going to the carb.

I have a 32cc crasftzman weed wacker need how to

This can be a little tricky, the filter is in the tank connected to the line. The line is pulled through a hole in the tank which seals only because the line is the correct outter diameter to seal the hole and not collapse the interior. Fuel line and filters are available at most places that carry outdoor power equipment parts but you must make sure the line is the exact size inner and outter as the original.
If the trimmer has a primer bulb the line goes from the tank to the bulb and then to the carburetor, a second line goes from the carburetor back to the tank, don't get them mixed up.

Dont know how to install new fuel lines on craftsman weed eater 32cc

Hello:

The Following is a Basic Instruction File I made for Replacing the Fuel Lines and the Filter on Chain Saws and Trimmers. Any Input is Appreciated.
>>The Fuel Line is Pushed and Pulled (I Use Long Needle Nose Pliers) Through the Small Hole Until the Hose is Out the Fill Hole about a 1/2".
>>You can Also Use a Coat Hanger with a Small J at the End to Hook the Filter in the Tank and Pull the Filter and Hose (if Detached from the Carburetor) Out the Tank Fill Hole Enough to Replace the Filter.
>>Then Attach the Filter and Pull the Hose Back Until the Filter Lays at the Bottom of the Tank Just Below the Fill Hole (or so it is in the Bottom of the Tank and will Rest in the Fuel Mix when Turned at Common Angles the Unit May be Turned to During Operation.
>>**Hint: Use Plenty of Spray Lubrication at the Small Hole as you are Feeding in the Hose. It Slides Easier.**
Hope this Helps.

Good Luck

Respectfully

John
