Motorola D&B H700 Version... i cant remember the password...
I recently changed my phone from an MDA to an HTC. My previous phone was the one i had my bluetooth set up on and i recently tried switching to my HTC but i forgot the password it came with (came with the box and box is already thrown away...) Is there a generic password i can use so i can finally use my bluetooth or is there anyway to connect without having to put a password... or any alternatives...?

You will need to enter pairing mode on your device. The H700 User Manual indicates that you do so by first turning off any previously paired device and opening the headset BOOM. The indicator light should light a steady purple while in pairing mode.
You may not need to turn off your phone if you do not desire this, you may be able to get by turning the blue tooth function off and on, on your phone and attempt to pair again.
The problem you are having with your H700 is not the passkey. "0000" is correct. The problem is the pairing process. I just paired mine after reading this with my blackberry curve.
1. Close the H700.
2. Hold the big button down until you see a lavender light.
3. Open the H700 while still holding the button down.
4. At this point it is ready to be paired. If the light changes color, the H700 has timed out waiting to be paired and you will have to do steps 1 thru 3 again.
5. With the lavender light on the H700 go through the pairing procedure on the blackberry.
If your running an HTC phone (If have an HTC Hermes) it has Windows Mobile 5 or 6 running the software for the phone. I made a modification to the windows registry settings.
You will first need to download a registry-changing software: http://www.breaksoft.com/Blog/Utilities/2005/1/Mobile_Registry_Editor.aspx
Then follow these steps to increase your bluetooth output:
To achieve better Stereo sound change the following values, found the the following keys. I was able to do this in about 5 minutes.
[HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Bluetooth/A2DP/Settings] Add new dword, Value name=BitPool; Value data=48 (Decimal) Modify, Value name=UseJointStereo; Value data=0 (Decimal, Originally 1)
For BitPool: Microsoft suggests the following bitpool values for optimal buffer sizes. 30 - Low audio quality 40 - Medium audio quality 48 - High audio quality 58 - Excellent audio quality Chose one you like. I think 48 is good enough.
For UseJointStereo: use 0 instead of 1, then you got the real stereo. If you run into any problems, please contact me.
Just have to re-pair it.With the H700 BT headsets the pairing mode is different
from other BT headsets. to put it in pairing mode you first hold the
talk button on the headset until the purple light comes on.Right after
the purple light comes on you have to flip open the headset for it to
stay in pairing mode. From there you continue through the phone. It
will ask for a password; that will be "0000". then connect.
