Ipod not Restoring and not switching on.

My Ipod is still under its warranty and when I want to use it or put it on, the grey apple comes up and when holding the middle sircel button there comes something up saying that I should RESTORE the Ipod via itunes. I did try it and even tried to restore it with latest software. Nothing worked. I cant get it too restore. Can you please help with the problem or tell me maybe to take the Ipod to my nearest dealer? I've tried everything.

Take your iPod to your nearest Apple Store or dealer as they will replace it for free whilst it's under warranty.

Apple ipod video 30 gb 5th gen wont play but shows screen and operates like its gunna play but doesnt advance after you press play. communicates with itunes when plugged in tho. what could be a solution to...

Try plugging the unit up to itunes, and restoring the unit. You will lose all the data on your ipod, so make sure that all your data is loaded on to itunes before restoring. Also if you did not get all your songs from itunes, make sure you ran a virus scan. If the song is corrupted it is not going to work on your ipod. Also make sure the song is the right format, have itunes convert the song to be formatted right for your ipod. If none of the above work, check with Apple to see if the unit is still under warranty with this site:

The serial number can be found on the back of the unit toward the bottom. If you have any other questions feel free to contact

My sisters ipod doesnt work in wifi its greyed out tried setting again no good any ideas

The first thing i would do is reseting the ipod to factory settings. This can be done by going to the settings icon on your itouch. Once you are under setting go to the general tab. Once in the general tab go to the reset tab. Once in the reset tab go to reset all settings. This will reset all the settings on your itouch. If this does not fix your problem try hooking the unit up to itunes and restoring the unit. This will cause your unit to take all data off your unit, so make sure itunes has backed up the unit. If this still does not fix your problem then check with apple to see if your unit is still under warranty with this site:

The serial number can be found on the back of the unit toward the bottom.

Wifi grey area

Here is a way that solved the problem for me.
Downgrade the ipod touch to firmware 1.1.4. You have to put your ipod into DFU mode ('not recovery mode) and you have to have an itunes version that supports this old firmware. 7.5 oder 7.7 i think.
to load your own firmware you simply hold the shift-button while you push the restore button.

After you have firmware 1.1.4 on your ipod touch, download the jailbreaker "Ziphone". This programm has the option to fix the "no Wifi" problem. Look in the advanced options.
In my case, this was the only thing that solved the problem. I tried restoring it often but nothing worked.
After Ziphone fixed your Problem, you can update the Touch to the latest firmware. Wifi was still working, at least for me

White scrren on ipod classic but works on itunes

Is your ipod still under warranty?
If so make an appointment at your closest Apple Store and they will replace the iPod for you at no charge.
If it is out of warranty, you may need to replace the LCD.
If you have dropped the ipod the LCD could be damaged and not be cracked.
Try restoring it in Itunes and see if that helps.
If not Replace the LCD and you should be fine.

If this helps please leave a vote on fixya

Continually reseting (apple icon to black, apple icon to black

Will iTunes see it as an iPod in restore mode? If so, try restoring it. If that does not work, then the drive in the iPod is probably shot

Ipod wont turn on. ive tried everything! none worked! HELP!

You will want to attempt to force the iPod into disc mode before restoring. This should solve your issue.
Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Set it to Hold, then turn it off again.) Press and hold the Menu and Select buttons for at least 6 seconds until the Apple logo appears. When the Apple logo appears, release the Menu and Select buttons and immediately press and hold the Select and the Play/Pause buttons until the Disk Mode screen appears.
Connect the iPod to your computer; the screen on the iPod will change and say "Do not disconnect" If you are having difficulty putting the iPod model into disk mode, set it on a flat surface. Make sure that the finger pressing the Select button is not touching the Click Wheel. Also make sure that you are pressing the Play/Pause button toward the outside of the Click Wheel and not near the center.
If you are still unable to put your iPod with a Click Wheel into Disk Mode, use one finger from one hand to press the Select button, and one finger from the other hand to press the Play/Pause button.
Please let me know if this did not resolve your issue. :)
