It's a rather indepth process and is usually just easier to replace the computer. Motherboards have many different adapters / slots / options. If you're meaning to replace the motherboard and processor cpu, it'd be best to buy a package deal from newegg / tigerdirect / etc. To be able to use your other components, you'd have to make sure the new motherboard has the same type memory slots, video card slot, etc.

ok first u have to go to control pannel and uninstall your old media center and than after u can install the new media center..

Not trying to give you a flippant answer, but what sort of diagram?
Troubleshooting diagram? Motherboard diagram? Diagram of how the cables connect inside?

Look at the front panel of the computer you will see the connections you have. Should be power, reset, power led, usb etc. These are connected to your current motherboard and most times all the connections will be labeled in the case, on the wire connector ends. IE the end that connects to the motherboard. The only exception to this is the usb ports, and they can be hooked up to new usb connectors on the motherboard. Also note, read i said READ the proper way to connect the usb to the motherboard, this is usually a one shot deal, get it wrong and you kill that usb connector.
