HOW TO CHANGE THE INTERNET SETTINGS IN THE HTC WILDFIRE A3333

Wi-Fi provides wireless Internet access over distances of up to 100 meters (00 feet).

To use Wi-Fi on your phone, you need access to a wireless access point or "hotspot". The availability
and range of the Wi-Fi signal depends on the number, infrastructure, and other objects
through which the signal passes.

Turning Wi-Fi on and connecting to a wireless network
From the Home screen, press MENU, and then tap Settings > Wireless & networks.
Select the Wi-Fi check box to turn Wi-Fi on. The phone then scans for available wireless
networks.

Tap Wi-Fi settings. The network names and security settings of detected Wi-Fi networks
are displayed in the Wi-Fi networks section.
If the wireless network you want to connect to is not in the list of detected networks,
scroll down the screen, and then tap Add Wi-Fi network. Enter the wireless network
settings, and then tap Save.

Tap the Wi-Fi network you want to connect to.
If you selected an open network, you will be automatically connected to the network.
If you selected a network that is secured with WEP, enter the key and then tap
Connect.

Depending on the network type and its security settings, you may also need to enter more information
or choose a security certificate.
When your phone is connected to a wireless network, the Wi-Fi icon appears in the
status bar and tells you the approximate signal strength (number of bands that light up).
The next time your phone connects to a previously accessed secured wireless network, you
will not be prompted to enter the key or other security information again, unless you reset
your phone to its factory default settings.

Wi-fi

Your desktop may already enjoy a wired broadband Internet connection, but a Wi-Fi connection will afford you greater latitude in Internet use.
Wires will not be necessary, so you can establish your PC in any room or area of your home or office and still stay connected to the Internet.
Fortunately, you only need a wireless router, broadband modem, and ethernet cable to make this Wi-Fi connection.

Disconnect your modem from the wall socket it's plugged into.
Connect the ethernet cable to the back of the modem.
There is a clearly marked ethernet port here.
This port will appear to be an oversized telephone jack.

Connect the other end of the ethernet cable to the ethernet port on the back of the wireless router.
This port will look exactly the same as the one on the rear of the modem.
Plug the broadband modem back up to the wall socket and wait for it to power on, initialize and detect its new connection to the wireless router.
Locate the manual that shipped with your wireless router.
Find the URL, or web address, that is contained within the pages of this manual.
This special web address is used to set up your router's network and security permissions.
Also, be sure to locate the default password provided within the pages of the manual.

Enter the URL into your web browser and allow the page to load.
When prompted, enter the password that you found within the instruction manual.

Begin setting up your new wireless network.
You will be asked for an "SSID," which is just a moniker for your new network.
This will be the name seen when the network is listed in an available network list.
Choose whatever name you like.

Select a password for your new network.
While encrypting your network is optional, it is highly recommended.
Along with the password, choose "WPA" security encryption.
"WEP" will also be an option but it is an older security protocol that is technologically inferior to WPA.

Click "Apply" to save your changes.
Click on the wireless icon on the right-hand side of the bottom toolbar on your PC's desktop. Select your network's SSID from the drop-down list.
Enter the password you chose for your network.
You will now be connected to WiFi Internet on your PC desktop and free to browse the Web.

My notebook cannot connect to the wireless router. its on my wifi but i cannot connect to the internet. it says dns server error

Hi Dear Being able to connect to a wireless network or wi-fi hotspot is fundamental for mobile work and play. The step by step directions in the wi-fi tutorial below will help you set up your laptop so you can connect to a network wirelessly for Internet access or to share files with other computers on the network. Examples are given for Windows XP, Vista/7, and Mac.
  1. Find the wireless network icon on your computer (on Windows, you'll find an icon that looks like 2 computers in your taskbar on the bottom right; Macs will have a wireless symbol in the top right).
  2. View available wi-fi networks by either right-clicking the icon and selecting "View Available Wireless Networks" (Windows XP) or left-clicking the icon and selecting to "Connect or disconnect..." (Windows Vista). On Mac OS X and Windows 7, all you have to do is click on the wi-fi icon to see the list of available networks.
  3. Choose the network to connect to by clicking the "Connect" button (or just selecting it on Win7/Mac).
  4. Enter the security key -- if the wireless network is encrypted (with WEP, WPA or WPA2), you'll be prompted to enter the network password or passphrase. This will be stored for you for next time, so you'll only have to enter it once.
  5. On Windows 7, select the type of network this is -- Windows 7 automatically sets up security for different network location types (Home, Work, or Public).
  6. Start browsing or sharing! You should now be connected to the wi-fi network; open your browser and visit a website to confirm.
Tips:
  1. Make sure you have a firewall and updated antivirus software especially if you're accessing a public wi-fi hotspot. Open or unsecured wireless networks are not safe at all.
  2. In Windows XP, make sure you have updated to SP3 so you have the latest WPA2 security drivers.
  3. Some wireless networks are set up to hide their SSID (or network name); if you don't find the wi-fi network in your list, ask someone at the establishment for the SSID information.
  4. If you are able to connect to the network but not the Internet, make sure your network adapter is set to automatically get its IP address from the router or try other wireless troubleshooting tips.
  5. If you can't find the wireless network icon, try going to your control panel (or system settings) and the network connections section then right-clicking on the Wireless Network Connection to "View Available Wireless Networks". If the wireless network you're looking for isn't in the list, you can manually add it by going to the wireless network connection properties as above and clicking on the selection to add a network. On Macs, click on the wireless icon, then "Join Another Network...". You'll have to enter the network name (SSID) and the security information (e.g., WPA password).

I have the GT 15510M samsung phone, howdo i connect to the internet from my wireless at home?

Your mobile has a built it Wireless Fidelity or WI-FI module enabling to catch ata over wireless networks.

By turning ON your wi-fi, it will search wireless network along the nearest location of yours. Once you found a network(s), just open it and wait until established and connected, but some authenticating connection never allows you to connect because it needs a password encryption.so you won't able to patch the network if you do not know the code.

If you have a broadband installed at home, you need a wireless router that can supply internet connection using your mobile phone via wi-fi,just easily series the broadband connection thru a wireless router and also add encryption like WEP key to ensure you are the only one catching the connection.

please state your broadband if any so that i can guide you the procedure in installing your wireless router connection.

If you have some questions, don't hesitate to reply cause i will glad accomodate any comments.

Thank you for visiting FixYa..
