Oven won't stay on and give an F error message

When I turn on the oven it won't stay on. The cpu timer will beep and give a F3 error message. I already replaced the cpu, that was not it. I think it's the sensor 12001655. Can you confirm or is there another area I should look at? Thank you

I have the same error reading F3. I called the repairman and they said they can't fix it because the serial numbers have been torn off. Can you still fix the problem even without the serial numbers? Does anyone know where the heat sensor is located on this model?

Any help or suggestions will be helpful.

    Thank you,

My oven will sometimes stay on although occassionally stops, usually it takes holidays off. It displays E6 F2 most of the time and sometimes is totally blank. I have switched off the circut breaker for 1 hour but comes back on with the same code. Will sometimes just beep for no reason. It is approx 7 years old.

Oven shows an F7 error. I turned off the main breaker for 10 minutes but error returned after about 10 seconds on restoring power. Also beeps every few seconds.

My oven is also given an f3 error. At first it only did it when my oven was what I thought to be over heating. Now sometimes it beeps when its not even on with the f3 error. Instead of pressing cancel like I used to do, I now have to press bake. It's really weird, because when this happens the oven or top range isn't even in use. Please advise

We had a very strong thunderstorm two nights ago and the power went out abruptly, then a few seconds later came on again. Since then, I also get the F3 error message when I attempt to use my oven. The oven will initially turn on and start to pre-heat, then seconds later, the beeping and F3 error comes on. Could the power outage have affected the sensor? I assume I will have to call a repairman to fix this since I am not an electrician. The one solution offered here sounds like it needs to be done by a professional.

When oven is on and heating up, around 320 degree it will start beeping and display a F7 code. Nothing will stop the beeping or code display except shutting off the power at the breaker box.

Disconnect the power. Disconnect the sensor harness from the control. Measure the sensor resistance (white leads). The resistance should be 1080 ohms at room temp. If the sensor is open the resistance is usually over 2900 and you get an F3 message. If the sensor is shorted the resistance is usually less than 950 ohms and you get an F4 error message. Also look for damaged harness terminals if not a bad sensor.

That's an oven sensor error. Replace the oven sensor. If you still have the error, check the wiring and/or replace the timer/clock board.

Good luck!

Turned oven to bake it keeps beeping with message "door"

Oven keeps beeping:
As there is no reprogramming of most control boards try this, disconnect the power and wait 30 seconds and then reconnecting the power.

If it's an "F1" fault code this generally implies an electronic oven control (EOC) failure. Disconnect the power, wait 30 seconds or longer and then reapply power. If "F1" returns upon power-up, replace the electronic oven control.
The oven control can be accessed and replaced from the rear of the control panel.

NOTE:Disconnect the power cord from the power source before removing the panel from behind the console.
If its an F2 ERROR CODE, The F2 error indicates an open circuit in the oven temperature probe.

Your range has a resettable thermostat in series with the oven temperature probe. If this thermostat opens the clock will display F2 and the oven won't heat.
You can reset the thermostat by pushing in the reset button on top of the thermostat.
Some ovens have an alarm that will beep continuously every six seconds to alert you that the oven is still on. Usually, a kitchen timer that you have set will cause the beeping, but occasionally it can be an error with the oven's settings. If it is the kitchen timer, you can simply push the "Kitchen Timer On/Off" button to end the continuous beeping. If that does not stop the beeping, it is probably beeping due to an error. You can turn the continuous beeping off but you may still need to troubleshoot the issue that is causing the beeping noise.

My frigerdaire oven heats for a while about 15-30 minutes then shuts down with a beeping noise and a f3 code.

Good Afternoon Friend,

I see that your Frigidaire double oven heats up for about 15-30 minutes, then shuts down and begins beeping while showing an F3error code. The F3 states that the oven is sensing a potential runaway temperature. This is possibly a sensor issue or it could be a false error code.

I suggest giving your double oven a hard reset by cutting the power at the circuit breaker for at least 2-3 minutes.

After restoring power you will need to reset the clock. You will do this by entering in the time and pressing start.

Let the oven heat up, and if you are still receiving an F3 error code, I suggest either contacting the manufacturer or contacting your local authorized technician to diagnose your appliance. Hope this helps.

-Best Regards-

F2 and F3 code appearing along with annoying beeping

i think f3 error code has something to do with the temp probe maybe it is the problem. the temp probe is located if you open the door directly in the back wall. it looks like a prong. should read 1100ohms the f2 error code though usually has something to do with the keypad i would check all the connections maybe they are loose.

My oven displays F3 and beeps

f3 error code is generally a bad oven sensor. not every code is universal, but most manufacturers use the f3 error code to indicate a sensor issue. it is an easy fix if you want to tackle the problem yourself. Joe
