Due likely to overloading last load, washer now does not drain

No matter which cycle I now choose, each time, it goes through the motions (using the same water already sitting in there) and ''clicks'' like normal as it goes through each phase of the cycle, but even at the very end, still does not drain out. Model number is Maytag LAT8624AAE.

oL is an Overload error. Try running a cycle empty.

If oL (overloaded) appears in display, the load too large. If an overload is detected, the washer will drain any water and detergent in the washer. Remove several items and add HE detergent. Close lid and press START/PAUSE.

Kenmore Elite Oasis Washer displays "ol" code no matter the size of the load.

There is a small arm that contacts a switch in the tub area, When the tub wobbles and strikes it you get an error code OL=overloaded. The arm is bound up and must be lubricated.

Why won't my 4GLTF2940FS front load washer will not spin. It will go though a wash cycle, but when it is time to drain/spin the load it immediatley goes to No Spin, then shuts down. The water drains

Hello friend, I appreciate your post!
Based off the information you have provided if your Frigidaire washer is draining and rinsing but not spinning it could be an issue with your timer or motor. I would reset your appliance by disconnecting power to it by unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker for ten minutes. If that does not work I would recommend having a technician out to the home to properly diagnose and repair the appliance, since it could be any one of these underlying issues. Hope this helps. -Matt

My bosch does not always completely wring the clothes out at the end of the cycle causing me to have to put the clothes through another wash. Has anyone had this problem?

...at the end of the wash, I then set the dial to DRAIN, then press start.  I wait for a special drain cycle to run.  Then, I set the dial to SPIN, and wait for a special spin cycle to run.  The clothes are much dryer and spun out after this process.  I'm not happy with the washer, it came with my new condo.  BUT, I'm trying to learn how to use it.....

Whirlpool Duet 9100 starts cycle then stops & wont drain

F2 code is a drain issue. If you are not using he detergent you can cause slow draining and then you will get the code. Try using less detergent. Also, try disconnecting the power to the washer to reset controls.

Washer starts, runs a few seconds and stops, does it over and over

Sound like the internal overload on the motor may be going out .Thsi is usuaklly due to bad or worn bearings. If you know anything abotu electricity, take a voltage reading at the motor whe it is in the run cycle(when it stops) If you stil have have the 110Volts to the motor then the motor is bad and need to be replaced. If you do not then you wil have to look elsewhere for the problem.

Washplate problem Kenmore Elite Calypso washer

Hello genny2626
Welcome,

You said, your 6 year old Kenmore elite top loader's wash plate doesn't seem to go through its proper motions. When the lid is closed and the washer has filled and the agitating cycle begins, you can hear a vibrating noise as if the plate is trying to move on the gentle cycle, but when the lid is opened, nothing has moved at all. The drain and spin work fine, and the machine goes through an entire cycle without error messages, but the clothes aren't clean. You said, you have heard a lot of horror stories of how expensive these washers are to repair, so would like an idea of what's wrong beforehand.

Here are a list of common vibration noises

Noisy, vibrating, off-balance

Is the washer level? Does the washer rock when pushed
against the corners?
The washer must be level. The front and rear feet must be in
firm contact with the floor. Check that the locknuts are
tightened. See “Level the Washer.”
Is the floor flexing, sagging or not level?
Flooring that flexes or is uneven can contribute to noise and
vibration of the washer. A ³⁄₄" (1.9 cm) piece of plywood under
the washer will reduce the sounds. See “Location
Requirements.”
 Is the load balanced?
Evenly distribute the load in the washer basket and make
sure the height of the load does not exceed the top row of
basket holes. See “Starting Your Washer.”
Do you hear clicking or other noises when the cycle
changes from washing to draining or spinning?
When the drive system shifts or the washer basket settles
between cycles you may hear noises that are different from
your previous washer. These are normal washer noises.
Is the washer gurgling or humming?

Is the washer level? The wash load
should be balanced and not overloaded. The washer must be
level. The front feet should be properly installed and the nuts
tightened. Reset the rear leveling legs (if needed). See the
Installation Instructions.
Did you completely remove the yellow shipping strap with
cotter pins? See the Installation Instructions.
• Are the gears engaging after the drain and before spin, or
is the upper part of agitator clicking during wash? These
are normal washer noises.

Let me know if any of these are the solution!
