How to Transfer Email Backup To External Hard Drive Automatically?

You can setup TIme Machine and configure your external hard drive for the backup. Selecting the external hard drive will setup the Time Machine to backup Emails directly to the external hard drive. Here's how you can do it: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201250

There is another option available called the Mail Backup X. This application is specifically for email backup and you can link your apple mail database backup directly to the external hard drive. It has an inbuilt option to do so. Also, you don't need to backup the entire Mac as in the case of Time Machine. This application will only focus on your email database.

MY CASH REGISTER EXPRESS IS FREEZING VERY VERY BADLY ALTHO I PUT IN MORE RAM N IT WAS WORKING MUCH FASTER IT IS MOVING EVEN SLOWER NOW THAN WEN IT HAD IN LESS RAM. PLZ HELLPP

You probably have a database problem. If it gets to large, your PC will slow to a crawl during transactions or just freeze. I see you had an earlier post about the database backup not working. This would also indicate a large database or problem. Three options.

1. Clear database and start anew. You don't loose configuration, just all sales data.

2. Reinstall SQL server and hope your database is intact.

3. If you have a backup of database from before problem, restore it and see if it works. You would lose all sales data from backup date till now.

If you would like my help, contact me sysadmin@ccybernet.com Everything listed above and more can be accomplished thru remote access.

Restoring files from the database

I suggest you use the Enterprise manager (gui tool to manage SQL).
Restoring a single table is not an option.
You can however restore a file or filegroup.
Make sure to backup before you start and NOT to restore database to its original name or original file location, to avoid acidents.
Normally you will have databases with only 2 files: the data at its Primary file group, and log file.
You may wish to create a new file group and move tables to the new group by recreating them there and exporting data from old table to new table. Then recreate indexes. This may prove to be complex as all tables and indexes have unique names and can't coexist with exact duplicate of them.

oh yea..... did I say backup?
well just in case backup backup backup backup backup backup backup backup backup backup backup backup backup backup backup backup backup backup backup backup backup backup backup
but dont overwrite that backup

Hi...........

Well there is more than one or two answers 4 that.
you should first check if you are at simple recovery mode. If not (now this will sound strange) right click the database, click tasks/backup and make a LOG backup.
Now right click databases and click Restore Database.
You should choose a new database name (for restore practice) .
You will probably have your last backups at the bottom of the screen...if not click add and choose you latest data backup.
click the log backup and the data backup should be checked , too. on options tab make sure the database is left ready to use.
