I do not know how to defrost my freezer Model MQU165BEW

This model has a jazz board. Its electronic defrost timer not mechanical.

To determine whether u need to get a jazz board or a defrost thermostat/bimetal, you will have to run diagnostics.

To start with we need to start the refrigerator's diagnostic mode. To do this open the refrigerator door and press one or both door switches, depending on your refrigerator type. Next press the refrigerator temperature (+) button three times in ten seconds and release the light switch or switches. This should display an "S" in the freezer display and an "E" in the refrigerator display. Then press the refrigerator temperature (+) button one time to confirm that you want the service mode. You will then see a set of numbers displayed showing the software version for three seconds. (Again this control board is used on many different refrigerators.) After the software version is shown the freezer display should show "1" and the refrigerator display should be blank. Congratulations! Pat yourself on the back, you are now ready to do refrigerator diagnostic magic! Within the refrigerator diagnostic test mode there are 6 diagnostic tests:

You can select the test number you would like to run by pressing the freezer temperature (+) or(-) button until the test number you want is in the freezer display. Then using the refrigerator(+) button to cycle the test on and off.

NOTE: Most tests will need to be turned off before you will be allowed to move to the next test with the freezer temperature buttons.

Test#1 Defrost Thermostat Diagnostics

After pressing the refrigerator (+) button you will see ether an "O" or an "S". "O" means that the freezer's defrost thermostat is open and will not allow electricity to reach the defrost heater. An "S" means shorted or closed. The word shorted sounds bad but actually that is what you want to see if the freezer is cold. If you see an "O" (open) and the defrost thermostat is cold that means you need to replace the thermostat. The thermostat should be shorted or closed anytime it is cold and it's safe to run a defrost cycle. This test will also check the defrost heater. If ether the defrost thermostat or heater are broken or "open" and the evaporator is iced up, you will need to replace the bad part. 

Manual Defrost model freezers must be defrosted manually. For best operation the freezer should be defrosted when the frost accumulation becomes 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick.Defrosting Instructions for Upright Freezers: Turn temperature control to OFF and unplug freezer.

The board is located under the freezer side of the unit. You can call Sears, as they carry your brand's parts and they will tell you exactly where it is. There are diagrams on the web too. Search for appliance parts. You'll need to enter model number here: www3.sears.com

just enter the make and model on google and choose best info. in
the meantime extract contents and wrap in blankets/duvets to keep cold. open door and push defrost button or switch unit off at mains plug. use appropriate containers and towels to catch melt water .
you may use a hairdryer or fan heater to speed this process but don't get them too close to the plastic bits. if using the defrost button it should auto-reset, if it switches back on too soon, switch off at mains. leave for half hour after defrosting, switch back on and restock. The Er DH error code indicates the temperature sensor on the evaporator coil did not reach 50 degrees within one hour.
This would indicate the control board did put the refrigerator through a defrost cycle.

This problem could be caused by a defective relay on the control board, a defective defrost heater, a broken wire to the heater, or a stopped up drain on the defrost pan causing ice to form on the evaporator coil.

Before replacing the control board, someone should remove the food from the freezer, remove the freezer drawer, and remove the evaporator cover to expose the evaporator coil, heater, and defrost sensor.
The voltage to the defrost heater should be 120 volts ac.
The defrost heater is part of the evaporator coil and is not replaceable as a separate part.

You can test the operation of the defrost system by pressing "Ultra Ice" and "colder freezer temp" for 3 seconds.
The first time you press and hold the buttons the board will test the compressor, fan, and open the damper.

All displays should be on.


The second time you press and hold the buttons the board will test the compressor, fan, and close the damper.

The third time you press and hold the buttons, the board will turn the compressor and fan off and turn the defrost heater on for around 25 minutes. This would let you know if the defrost system is working.
