The teflon is starting to peel off the icemaker. You will need to replace the mold or the complete icemaker. Usually this happens when you turn the unit off and leave the water sit in the mold. To prevent this you should turn the water supply off and let the unit run for at least another hour to make sure the water is out of the system and mold.

Remove the dispenser cover by gently prying starting at the
bottom going round and round a little at a time to prevent from breaking it.
When it's off the screws will be exposed to access the other components.
Here's a diagram that may helphttp://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/getSubComp.pd?modelNumber=GS6NBEXRA00&productCategoryId=0165000&brandId=1198&modelName=SIDE-BY-SIDE-REFRIGERATOR&diagramPageId=00008&componentDescription=DISPENSER%20FRONT%20PARTS&documentId=W0601392&backToLink=Return%20to%20Sub%20Components%20list

You can't change the shape. or the size of the ice that is produced s It's determined by the manufacturer of the ice maker. but if you have the adjustment feature on your icemaker than pull the front cover off of the icemaker ande their will be a round adjustment wheel with different letters along the side these represent the different sizes of the ice that can be produced
their should also be a diagram on the inside ov the cover that you just took off that will help explain the different settings ok
I hope that this is very helpfull for you.
Best regards Michael
