File Format Not Supported!?!?!

I've had my 4GB for a couple of months and the other day I was loading some podcasts on it. After I finished loading them, I got in my car turned it on and it says file format not supported. This has never happened before. The stuff that was already on my mp3 was fine except the new stuff won't play. I plugged it back in looked at my list and saw that there were like two albums that had weird file names like " a./fdsdad)32545.;$" or somethin like that turns out they were some albums that were already on there. I don't know what to do with it. of course phillips tech support was no help. any ideas?

I got the same mp3 as you,

do have any idea how to download the CD that came with it,

because i cant download it, it runs but doesent put in the comverter,

i upload videos on it, but there not in the video section there in the folder/video part.

and then when i click on it it says file format not supported.

Can anyone tell me a converter that can help solve this problem and explain to me what to do step by step?

and i think for the CD, its supost to download the right converter for the mp3 but mine doesnt?

And i add videos but like i said the mp3 wont let me play them because it says file format not supported?

    What does that mean?

And i read in the manual and online that certain converter on the CD or for the mp3 is supposed to reduce the size of the video than play it.

But also i can put videos on the mp3 but they dont show up in the video section when you click video, it says (no videos found).

So than when i do download them i put them in a video folder thats on the mp3 but than they end up in the FOLDER section than when i click on it i go to VIDEOS and the video is there and when i click on that that the thing says File Format Not Supported????

So Could Anyone Please Just Help Me On This problem becuase i really want to get videos on my mp3.

Thank you and leave me and email at skull.rock3211@yahoo.com to help me solve my problem, THANKS FOR THE HELP PEOLE.

Okay, I just got off the phone with Philips. the way to fix this issue is to have the CD Rom in the drive and use the Repair function in the Device/Firmware Manager. Follow the instruction on how to do the repair, and it should fix the issue.

Fixed my problem. First copied all my songs to my computer. Then formatted the player (right click on player icon and hit 'format'). Finally, to double sure, hit the 'reset' button on the player. There is small pin-hole opening next to the USB port and used a paper-clip to hit the reset button. Copied my songs back onto the player. Player is back to normal. Hope this helps!

    what about a MAC ?

  • Pieter Vleeshouwers Jun 01, 2016

The question is allways easy the answer isnt, It depends on the marketing technical concept and use of eprom or eeproms what is a memory-chip inside that is support by a firmware upgrade like DVD's , ssd's computermainboards , and other equipments can have , some brands have only a service chip in a prom that isnt is not erasable
and reprogrammable that can have a fixed programmed chip (some models can have and some can have not. The most today brands are using the cheaper flashable concept in a service menu (bios) like all motherboards these days and firmware on regiondifferences or simlocks by phones other hardware like ssd (yes they have almost 90% all firmware releases for support, 15 years ago there was a brand called Creative Labs that was made cameras and sells some expensive models with software ondelivered on a cd but it was not ready for the market and the deliverd software was NOT work out of the box because there where for some mainboards protection faults and the only sollution was to get some people who are having internet and download the new software and also firmware release for it . (but in begin 2000 not everyone has internet). in that days that where the solutions , now in this time you buy a powertool and they selling a quality tool and its look liked perfect but the service is now a competition war between brands and for budget tools you can use more for less, but the service is brilliant governed by some industry through insane warranty extension, but if it comes there is always something to find a pedantic answer but eventually the trade option in terms of power price n so-called 20% purchasing discount and promised all sorts of things, and you fall back into another smart hole.
It remains in any case happen a kind of're cheating and that there are often depends on the price and the associated promise of a certain group of products within the different classes of a particular brand.

IPod Nano, white, 4gb, I want to delete existing podcasts from the library in my iPod. Podcasts show up on the iPod but not on my PC. The podcast category shows up on the PC but the PC podcast library...

I've had a similar problem in the past. The files on your iPod don't show up on your PC because your daughter put them there via another computer (possibly a Mac), and/or software other than iTunes. Your PC just can't detect them.

I used free software called Floola (http://www.floola.com/home/download_win/), to manually go into the iPod directory and deleted the unwanted files. It's very easy to do. Hope this helps.

Cant get go gear 4gb player to play on my usb head deck >:(

"File Format Not Supported" - SA6045/37
The file format not supported message means that the type of file you are trying to load into the GoGear is not compatible with the GoGear. There are no GoGear's that are compatible with iTunes. As far as WMA files are concerned, the GoGear's vary wildly. If the WMA file has a bit rate higher than 192 kbps (which is quite common nowadays), it will not work. If you actually have an SA6045, then make sure the license on the WMA file has "transfer rights," or that the license has not expired. You can check this by right-clicking on the song, selecting Properties, and looking at the tab that says "license" or "digital rights management."

If you find that you are using an incompatible format, convert the songs to mp3 format. If the songs came from CD, use Windows Media Player to re-rip the songs in Mp3 format. You can do this in Windows Media Player 11 by highlighting the "Rip" tab, pulling down the drop down-menu by clicking on the little tiny arrow that appears underneath the word "rip," and selecting "format", and then "mp3".

Good luck!

The songs are in the wrong format. this player will not play iTunes, for instance.

Sansa Fuze supports MP3, WMA, secure WMA, Audible (AA), audiobooks and podcasts in
WMA and MP3 file formats.
