Question about Philips GOGEAR SA6045 MP3 Player
I've had my 4GB for a couple of months and the other day I was loading some podcasts on it. After I finished loading them, I got in my car turned it on and it says file format not supported. This has never happened before. The stuff that was already on my mp3 was fine except the new stuff won't play. I plugged it back in looked at my list and saw that there were like two albums that had weird file names like " a./fdsdad)32545.;$" or somethin like that turns out they were some albums that were already on there. I don't know what to do with it. of course phillips tech support was no help. any ideas?
Did u guys try 2 transfer the songs in mp3 format? cuz if ur using an mp3 player and the format of the song is not mp3 then its obviously not gonna work... but if u did try that then no idea.

Okay, I just got off the phone with Philips. the way to fix this issue is to have the CD Rom in the drive and use the Repair function in the Device/Firmware Manager. Follow the instruction on how to do the repair, and it should fix the issue.

Fixed my problem. First copied all my songs to my computer. Then formatted the player (right click on player icon and hit 'format'). Finally, to double sure, hit the 'reset' button on the player. There is small pin-hole opening next to the USB port and used a paper-clip to hit the reset button. Copied my songs back onto the player. Player is back to normal. Hope this helps!

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
