Hi there, My epson printer showed a paper jam light although no paper was visible. I discovered my son had had a paper jammed and ripped the paper out and a tiny piece was jammed inside but was not visible easily. ***NO RESPONSIBILITY ACCEPTED FOR LOSS OR DAMAGE IF YOU USE THIS SOLUTION I USED TO FIX MY PRINTER********* i cut an A4 sized square of cardboard from a cereal packet. I inserted this instead of paper and attempted to use the feed paper button to eject the paper jam. This did not initially work so as i kept pressing the paper feed button i forced the cardboard into the printer in the same direction that the paper feeds whilst printing. The cardboard pushed the tiny piece of paper out. Turn off the printer and then turn back on - you should find the printer now works. I also found it helpful to clean the feed path and to try and keep dust from settling in the printer. If it is in a dusty environment it helps to keep the printer covered when not in use - you can buy plastic covers for this or any large plastic will do but does not look as aesthetically pleasing. Hope this has helped.
Inspect the location or tray the printed paper ejects to. If the stuck paper is visible manually remove it.

Open the printer door that allows you access to the printer ink cartridges or toner and look for any stuck paper. If the stuck paper is visible manually remove it.
Turn the printer back on. If you continue to receive a printer jam error try repeating the above steps again. If issue still persists and you see no paper that is stuck in the printer it

Preventing a printer paper jam As
mentioned earlier it is inevitable that you will encounter at least one
paper jam during the life of your printer. However, if you're
encountering frequent paper jams following the below steps can help
prevent paper jams from occurring.
If your printer has a
paper tray do not fill the tray to capacity. If you're encountering
frequent paper jams reduce the amount of paper you place in the tray
each time it is filled.
Make sure you or the tray feeding the
paper into the printer is aligned properly and/or the slider used to
hold the paper in place in the tray is snug with the paper. Many
printers have sliders that allow different types and sizes of paper to
be fed into the printer. If the slider is not properly positioned it can
cause paper jams.
Use standard office paper; folded paper,
paper with labels, and specialty paper such as hard bound paper can
often cause paper jams. If you're uncertain with what type of paper you
should use with your printer your printer documentation will list the
types of paper compatible with your printer.
Do not mix the
types of paper you're feeding into the printer at one time. If you need
to change the type of paper or size of paper being used removed any
other paper currently in the printer before inserting the new paper.
Examine
the printer for any previous stuck paper in the printer. Previous paper
jams, torn paper, printing labels or other foreign objects in the
printer can cause reoccurring printer jams.

Paper jams can be tricky to solve. The paper is usually stuck inside the printer mechanism so even if there is no visible paper jam, you will still get the paper jam error. Try this:
1. Turn off your printer
2. Open all trays and remove any paper stuck there
3. Locate the button to open the printer, open it and remove any paper stuck there also.
4. Repeate the above step for all buttons that you can find to access the inside of the printer
5. Close all doors and put back all trays
6. Turn on your printer

1.unplug the power from printer to reboot it 2..if the lights flashing like woof said check for jammed paper or sticky label inserts in the back door of the printer. 4.clean the circuit bit of the cartridge (sometimes a thin film of ink can stop the circuit)
There must be apiece of paper in one of the cogs do atthe bottom of where the paper is inserted. Try removing the covers and seeing if you can get it if not try using paper feed button with no paper.
