Question about Washing Machines

Open Question

I have a Kenmore 110.21302010 that is less than 2 yrs old. It will go thru all cycles, but after spinning the clothes are still soaked. I have to remove most of the clothes and leave 3-4 items in and manually put it on drain/spin in order for the spin cycle to leave the clothes ready for the dryer. I would like to attempt a fix, but don't know where to start. Any help is appreciated. THanks!

SOURCE: washer wil not spin or drain out after cycle completed

sounds like drain is plugged. this is a fairly easy fix,and you actually get paid to do it. unscrew the bottom panel of your washer should be 3 screws on the very bottom then you will see a white plug that is about 2 1/2" unscrew it (make sure you have a bowl under it water will leak ) and pull it out. this is where you get paid you will find all kinds of change and junk just clean it out reinstall and your clothes will be a lot drier after the spin cycle

2 things are possible. Can you tell if the spin cycle is engaging? If the spin cycle is not engaging properly or very fast, then the water will not leave the clothes. less likely is that the machine is not draining the water away properly or fast enough.

Soaking wet clothes after spin cycle

Check and choose a longer spin cycle and see if the fault changes. If so the SPIN cycle is too less or there is less action or speed in the cycle, check the motor speed, check the capacitor to the motor, the spindle friction - if so reset the spindle and drive.

Kenmore 23012 / Clothes still wet after spin cycle

Remove end caps from console (put fingers behind top and pull towards you. small flat head may be required). and the 2 phillips screws behind them. Pull console towards you and up, it wil flip out of the way. Unplug door switch connection on top rear right of cabinet (3 wires). Put flat head STRAIT DOWN into brass looking clips and push forward. They'll pop out. Lean cabinet towards you and shine flashlight inside. Look for oil splatter about 8" up from bottom. If there's oil, then the trans has leaked oil into the clutch and it's slipping. Repl. transmition and clutch assy. If you see oil, it's cheaper to buy new washer. Trans and labor is about 400

My clothe come out very wet at the end of the wash cycle

If the pump is clogged and can't release all the water it won't go into final high spin. Remove lower cover and locate coin catch and unscrew it. Water will come out, so be ready. If it's full of stuff, this is probably the problem.

remove top panel where switch is. replace switch behind control knob. this switch wears out in time. the wires just plug in so no soldering. very simple.
