Question about RaidMax Computers & Internet

1 Answer

I got my Raidmax RX-735AP 735W ATX 12V today. When I plugged it in, the fan LED didn't turn on and the fan didn't spin. It wasn't plugged to the motherboard or anything. I just wanted to test it out. Will it work when everything is plugged in or is it a DOA?

SOURCE: Dell ATX(12v) power supply

The fact that it is made by Dell is irrelivent.

ATX is a standard and so are 20 and 24 pin motheroboard connectors.

You should find what you need by searching for: power supply unit on Wikipedia and Google.

Good luck!

Does your motherboard have a beeper? Does it emit any distinguished beeps?
First, to locate the problem, try to boot your system with only a bare minimum of components: motherboard, cpu, ram, videocard. Try your system with a known to be good power supply. Then, if possible, try it with other known to be good components. If possible, check power supply with a psu tester or multimeter (that takes some time). Every bit of description of system behaviour will be helpful.

I once had something similar happen to me. Triple check to see that all connections are secure to the motherboard - a loose 20 pin ATX cable was the culprit in my case.
Hope that helps. Good luck!

920-fan command 2 pin connector from power supply not connected I have replace my power supply..but my new power supply didnt have the 2 pin..

Well thats not good, however if you can identify the Positive, usually RED, and Negative, usually BLACK. on the Fan, You can actually carefully insert the bared wire into a spare drive power connector, fans are all 12 V. You can use the YELLOW.. +12V & the alongside BLACK - 0V. This will power your fan. BE CAREFUL doing this. Once inserted use a piece of tape to secure the wires and fold them back against the Plug and secure. You may be able to buy a converter that plugs into that power connector & the fan?

Raidmax Sirius case not turning on

Recheck the wiring. Make sure the fans are all plugged into the proper place. Then try reseating the RAM, video card, & cpu. Make sure you have applied a good thermal paste between cpu & heatsink as overheating can cause the system not to boot. Hope this helps & please remember to rate my answer. Thanks.

Raidmax 500w power slowly died, then wont turn back on.

1.-Your CPU fan is working?

2.-Your Power supply fan is working?

If not and following your description I think that you have to replace your power supply.

If you have the light on in the motherboard doesn't mean that your power supply is good.

Check the first to points above and if 1 and 2 are not working

Replace your power supply.

Let me know how it is going!

Raidmax fan+light

Fans are such a low cost item I would replace the fan or fans and take the troubleshooting from there.
Fans can be prurchased from www.newegg.com or best buy ETC..

Red Light instead of a Blue one

I've seen this before. The power LED needs to be replaced. If you have the sales receipt, Raidmax will replace it. This won't affect any other part of your PC, so if you don't get it replaced, it's not the end of the world. =)
