It sounds like your clutch is worn out and needs to be replaced. Your clutch is the mechanical connection between your engine and your transmission. It has a rough surface that, when let out, will "grab" the surface of the flywheel. If your clutch is worn out, it no longer has the rough surface and will no longer "grab" the flywheel. Because it can no longer grab the flywheel, there is no longer a good connection between the engine and transmission and you will not be able to move. I would suggest replacing your clutch either yourself or taking it to a shop and having them do it for you.

Pushed started my 06 Honda trx450r now it makes a grinding / ratchet sound when idling or when you ride it have I done something to the gears in the trans?

Either the starter gear is staying stuck in the flywheel or the synchronizers in the trans got damaged while pushing it off. Possibly the clutch basket was warped too

Did you use the correct spline to align the clutch with the bell-hosing, and replace the throw-out bearing?

Car will not engauge into 1st or 2nd gear

the gear grinding noise is because the clutch plate is not fully disengaging and the input shaft is still driving. If you did not use the same length of push rod then the slave cylinder is not moving enough to disengage the clutch. Check it out that with the pedal on the floor the piston in the slave cylinder should be almost to the edge of the slave cylinder . That is where It should be to be working properly

Clutch on my '91 ford explorer

Im pretty sure the vehicle has a bad throw out bearing. That's what's making the noise when you depress the clutch. It would need to be replaced, along with the clutch disc, and pressure plate.

2000 civic wont drive

Sounds to me that you might have lost your pressure plate or the throw out bearing. The only way to check is to pull your trans out and see if the presure plate is broke or the throw out bearing id gone. Sorry no quick fix on this one. It;s not a bad job to change the clutch assem. but it is time consuming.

Hi there,i have recently bought an 1988 honda city and when i try to put it into first, but mostly reverse gear,it makes a horrible grinding noise, any ideas?

sounds like a clutch issue -- check to make sure that the clutch fork is moving and working,, and if it is then I would say that the clutch plate is worn out and needs to be replaced.
