The thermostat light will only come on momentarily on the highest setting oven and grill will not get hot ?

Your thermostat is faulty and needs replaced. SWITCH ALL POWER OFF. You should be able to do this by first removing the inner panel in the oven, this will give you access to the stat bulb and allow you to unclip it. Then remove the oven and remove the top panel and back panel of the oven. Then remove the knob for the stat and unscrew it from the front panel. Then screw the new stat into place and swap the wires over onto the corresponding terminal like for like. Then feed the bulb down the back and into the hole the old 1 came out of and replace all the panels that where removed. This should solve your problem. Hope this helps.

Wont get hot grill works think the element has

If it is a fan assisted oven, then it is probably the oven element that has failed.
This is usually located at the rear of the inner oven compartment behind a removeable panel

My bosch oven grill element is not working and my oven does not seem to be getting as hot as it should. any ideas what it could be.

More than likely the grill element has failed, and this could account for the oven not getting hot enough, as on some makes, the grill element is on at the same time as the oven element, so if the element has failed, then it will not be hot enough.
My advice would be fit a new grill element, and this hopefully will solve the problem of the oven not being hot enough.
Please rate my solution.
Thankyou.

Have no signage on knob for top oven/grill..how do I know f it's grill or oven on when I turn it on?

If you turn the grill on, then only the top element will get hot in the oven.
if you select oven and it is fan assisted, then you will hear the fan working, and feel it blowing hot air.
Hope this helps.

When i use the oven it stays hot after turned off. front panel, right under the touch buttons gets very hot.

This oven has an oven vent that comes out under the control panel usually to the right. Very poor design as this vents heat into the controls and can cause a control board failure, especially during a self cleaning cycle. Good Luck, Appliance Specialists

Oven problem

Check that the solar plus grill element is working properly by selecting full grill, the whole element should heat up, if only half element heats up , then you need to fit a new grill element complete.
If the grill element is o/k , then it is possible the top oven base element is faulty, to check that is working, put top oven on and after a few minutews feel the base of the top oven, and it should be hot to the touch if it is not, then the base element has probably failed , and you will need to fit a new one.
These are the possible reasons for it to heat up slowly.

Plz rate my solution.
Thanks.

Smeg oven SE399X/5 - digital clock issue

I'm glad I'm not the only one with this issue. My husband had the grill on too high and melted the buttons, I thought they weren't going in because of that but we've got new buttons and they're working at one side of the clock and not the other. For the meantime, you can get a thin screwdriver, or something, and poke it through the holes where the buttons would go to substitue. That will get it working in the short term.
