You are actually missing air. Your system is water bound. The temporary fix is turn the pump off, drain the tank and start it back up. There is a air volume regulator there that has probably failed. The water you pump has very little air dissolved in it however when it is in your pressure tank; it adsorbed some air from that eventually depleting the air from your tank.

Mastercraft 6.5 Gal.3/4 hp does not hold pressure

no it is not normal
if it is like a round tank and you use air pressure to set the operation then to have water there indicates that the diaphragm that separates the water and air has failed
nothing to with the foot valve but a non return valve at that tank or lack or set pressure

When the engine warms up in my 2000 Grand Cherokee, the oil pressure drops when I stop. It rises when I am driving, but starts to drop immediately when I slow down or come to a stop.

Oil pressure depends upon the viscosity of the engine oil. As the engine heats up the oil becomes physically "thinner" and therefore pressure goes down a bit. The oil still protects the engine parts though unless it has been contaminated with fuel etc.
That said, Pressure can also become lower if the oil pump pickup screen is partially obstructed (happens from using inexpensive high paraffin based oils that burn off leaving hard carbon and sludge residue behind). That will restrict oil flow and make the fluctuations of pressure larger and more noticeable.
Another cause of low pressure is rod or main crank bearing wear. That allows oil to flow out the sides of the bearings instead of holding normal pressure. Eventually the wear increases and the engine begins to knock and later fail.
If your oil pressure is around 40psi when driving and goes down to 20psi at idle, that's still safe.
Some people accept 5psi at idle as normal but it isn't. Anything below 15 should be considered as time to investigate further and do whatever repair is necessary. Testing should start with attaching a mechanical gauge to the engine and reading actual pressure. (your gauge is electro -mechanical and can be off a bit). You can get some residue out of the engine safely by using marvel oil along with each oil change. It will slowly dissolve residue and the filter will collect it.
Always use a good brand name quality oil. Generally a 20w 40 or 50 is good. Synthetics are even better but by nature can give lower than normal pressure readings (they are physically thinner but offer higher wear protection than conventional oil). Lucas additive is a good viscosity index improver and can be used alone or with the marvel oil.
If your bearings are indeed worn, there is no chemical known to man that will correct your problem though.
OK lots of info....hope it helps either for you to better understand what is happening or how to fix it.!!

Pump is set to turn off at 40psi. Has been working fine all summer, but now, after 3 weeks away I returned to the house to find the pump running. It won't presurize beyond 20psi and doesn't turn off.

Your pump is hooked to a pressure tank? Shut off the
pump, and drain and empty the pressure tank. Then,
put the power on, and load the pressure tank to 40 psi.
This should shut off. If it doesn't, You must replace the
Air Volume valve at the pressure tank, in order to maintain the right air volume level of the pressure tank.

Pressure gage show a pressure that exceed 100psi, pressure at hose starts out okay, then quickly lessens to a trickle. Pump is operating ok, pressure switch turns on and off properly, but what disturbs me,...

Without knowing the brand or model number I can't help you, it is most likely that you need to adjust the pressure release valve so give the information and I will get back to you.

I have a Guundfos CHIE 4 circulation pump that is constantly running. I closed the valve on the pressure side but is still runs. On a previous post I was told it "may have lost its prime". The pump is...

You have a defective pressure switch. But replacing the switch. Do the following; Open the pressure switch cover, and find the two adjusting nuts. One is for the cut-off pressure (40psi) and the other is for the cut-in pressure (20 psi). Adjust the the nut with a longer stem counter clockwise (loose) with the pump running. Take care not to touch the power line attach
to it. Continue the adjustment until the pump stops,
at 40 psi. Then, observe - Pump must stop once the
pressure is attained. Then, open the valve until it
start (20psi).. Then you can adjust the other nut to
cut in at 20 psi.
To prime the pump; open and fill the priming port full
with water.and replace the priming port plug. Set
the water flow control valve at full close position.
Switch the power on to run the pump and slowly
open the control valve to appropriate setting such
that the pump doesn't lost the suction. Send your e-
mail for further comment. God bless u

Culligan RO sstem has recently stopped producing more that 6 oz

This might be a possible tank pressure issue. This could also be a clogged filter. I would first check the tank pressure by using the following steps

Necessary Supplies:
1) Tire Gauge marked in 5psi increments (ie 5, 10, 15, 20psi, etc.)
2) Bicycle tire pump for standard type bike tire valve

To recharge RO System Tank:

1) Close cold water feed valve (valve located at some point along the cold water line from street plumbing).*
2) Leaving RO tank valve on, turn tank on side & locate valve stem on bottom side.
3) Remove stem cap.
4) Drain all water out of tank through open RO faucet into sink. (Continue to leave RO faucet open throughout procedure)
5) If current tank pressure is insufficient to empty tank, apply tire pump to valve stem and pump 10 – 15 times. Exit flow will increase and then gradually decrease as pressure equalizes. Do not overcharge internal bladder of tank during this procedure.
6) Repeat step #4 until tank is completely empty. (Tank is empty when additional pumping produces no more water)
7) At this point, adjust EMPTY tank to exactly 7psi. (Gauge reading midway between 5 & 10psi is sufficient)
8) Turn off RO faucet.
9) Replace cap on valve stem and reposition tank in upright position.
10) Open cold water feed valve.*
11) System water is useable immediately, however, tank will take 3-4 hrs to completely refill.
