Question about Logitech Cordless Mouse

1 Answer

So today I accidentally dropped my Logitech mouse. Ive dropped it before and was sure it would work fine. It would not work. I moved it around and cleaned it but there is no movement from the cursor. I am desperate and need it to work ASAP because my notebook mouse is also broken, but I do not care because I don't like to use those. Please help!

There might be some circuit malfunctioning or some of its parts (tiny ones made of plastic ) may be damaged. i would suggest you to open that mouse.
1. There will be a screw on the back side.
2. Open it.
3. Now uncover the mouse by removing its top cover.
4. Now you'll be able to see what actually the problem is. If some part is damaged, then i have to say that you'd have to buy a new one and if there is some wire cut down then go to any electronics shop and ask him to make it right for you.

SOURCE: No Cursor

Did you register the mouse to the receiver? There should be a button on the receiver, the bottom of the mouse or both used to connect the wireless mouse to the receiver. Also, if you do not have a red light on the bottom of your mouse it may have a battery problem.

SOURCE: My mouse cursor wont move and the buttons won't click.

Try restarting your computer with your logitech mouse plugged. If you said you have successfully installed, the system will automatically detect your mouse.

SOURCE: Mouse stopped working, but appears ok, batteries ok, can't determine problem

Hope this helps others. My mouse stopped controlling cursor but buttons worked. Problem was it would not work on a black table. Slip a piece of white paper under it and waaala! It works. I'm thinking optical mouse and dark surface might be an issue.

Hi there

Your mouse buttons are stuck and can no longer hold firmly.

The best solution is to get a new mouse because repairing the mouse might cost almost the same price as buying a new one.

Try the mouse on a different computer. If it can't work on there then you may have a defective mouse. Contact logitech about warranty info.

Most opticals do not track on smooth white surfaces. It needs textures or color. Try pressing the "CONNECT" button on the bottom of the mouse and on the remote sensor.

Logitech mouse doesn't respond to my clicks

Even though it does not make sense, if you are using a wireless keyboard that is part of a combo pack (mouse included) sometimes (some brands) you have to plug in all cords on the keyboard/mouse receiver.
