Question about Electrical Supplies

1 Answer

My plates are clean and are level(tested with spirit level) however i notice when the lids are lowered down into situ they are not sitting flush on top of the plates with quite a gap to one side indicating subtantial heat loss when turned back on, my question- is how do i adjust them so they sit flush with no gaps, is it the allen keys at either side or something to do with small screw and nut to the right hand side of each hinge, or something completely different? thanks

DOESS NOT EITHER SPIN OR DRAIN. AFTER GOING THROUGH THE FIRST ROUNDS, IT AUTOMATICALLY STOPS BUT THE LIGHTS ON THE LID REMAIN ON.THE WATER WOULD NOT DRAIN.

It is a common fault that the drain fails to work in most machines in a period of time and is the most problematic fault in a washing machine. In all occasions it is important that your observation is most important and so is vital to the identification /rectification and solution. If you have noticed that water has leaked then as the drain hose pump/valve and fittings are located on the underside of the machine it is important that you look for possible leaks here. In some cases the drain hose would be clogged at the drain end to outlet of the house and so there will be back flushing resulting in overflow to the outside. Also the drain pump/valve can be clogged. Now remove the drain hose clamps and remove the drain pump/valve, clean the drain pump/valve, use back flushing to clear off all dirt. Now test using power to see if this works and can be simulated. When refitting, the hose must be tightened properly. If the pump/valve does not work even with power then it must be replaced. If there is intermittent power to the drain valve/pump then the program controller unit is a suspect.

Finally the washer must be placed with a tilt- use a spirit level- so that all water will drain to the outlet port and thereby there is no residual water remaining.

My 1994 Dodge Spirit can only use gas from the top half af the tank. is ther a problem with the pick up tube?

There is no pick-up line in the Spirit: the pump is articulated to swing up and down to follow the fuel level. If stuck, it could be. But another possibility is a clogged inlet mesh, so that when the fuel level drops, the pump cannot continue suctioning. One thing is for sure: one of the very few thing that the excellently reliable Spirit and Acclaim models that can be troublesome, is the fuel pump. As a general recommendation on these cars (and all of the same platform, like the Shadow and Le-Baron) is to never let the car run on the last part of the tank, try to keep it always above 1/4, because the fuel pump is sensitive to low suction conditions. The tank is removed letting it go down to the floor. Take the advantage and perform a full tank cleaning and washing (water and detergent), complete flushing with a Karcher or any other high pressure washer, and finish drying it with a hair drier blowing into each of the two large openings. After meny miles and years, the fuel pump could be replaced, and the old one kept as spare. The new one should endure for 10 more years!

DRAIN PUMP DOESN'T COME ON. WATER WILL NOT DRAIN ON ALL CYCLES.

Hi.

The drain pump does not fail very often. If you are sure that the pump does not start check first the pressure switch and the lid switch. The pressure switch is the sensor that determines when to start stop the drain pump. The switch is difficult to test. Try first cleaning the pressure hose connected to the switch. The lid switch is checked before entering in the last part of the cycle. Lid switch can be tested reading impedance at its contacts or jumping it. Check it just in case. If all that is OK check pump motor and control unit.
If you are not sure if pump is starting or not check for drain blockage at pump and at drain nose. Blockage is the most common cause for drain problems.

Regards.

After flushing, water level in bowl fills and then slowly drops.

Check to be sure small tube is flowing inside the ovefow tube. This is the water that flushes the rim holes, and refills the bowl. If you don't have flow clean or replace the float valve.

Fluids splash out when flushed

I went through this and called the help line. If the bowl is almost empty after flushing, it may be the water fill line in the fill tank (reservoir on the back of the toilet). There is a small tube that should go into the overflow tube and it adds water to the bowl after flushing. Mine was not attached to the overflow tube when I took it out of the box and the instructions did not mention to check it (or the troubleshooting guide). A picture is worth a thousand words so look for the small white hose going from the fill valve into the overflow tube:_1365.jpg
