Question about Garden

1 Answer

I have a G2500VH pressure washer that has started to pulse when the trigger is squeezed. This happens if I use the 0,25, and 40 degree nozzles BUT if I use the one for low pressure(detergent use) it will hold pressure fine. I have changed the unloader valve, checked all the valves and seals ad they seem to be fine. What could be the problem?

I have changed the spill/unloader valve as mentioned in the original inquiry. I even greased with silicone grease the one end of the valve as instructed by Karcher but still the pulsing continues. I have also taken the pump apart and cleaned all the rubber seals and other valves but to no avail.

I have seen postings with suggested fixes for the hose and trigger, piston springs, and other internal valves. I think if i can't find a solution, I will have to purchase a new one, time is of the essence with summer quickly disappearing.

Do you mean pressure on and off with the hp tips and smooth and steady with chemical tip?

That would be correct. With the low pressure tip in place the pressure washer operates just fine, no pulsing. Place one of the other nozzles (non detergent) and it will pulse.

Dxpw3025 motor drops rpm when triggers pulled

Look at the size of your spray nozzle, it may be too small causing excessive back pressure and thus excessive strain on your engine. Your nozzle should be a 3.0. If you are using the 25 degree nozzle for example, it should say 2503 on the side of the nozzle.

Why does it build pressure, but when I squeeze the trigger the engine stays at idle?

POSSIBLE this look picture hose coupling with water stop put on the tap side or lime in valves after long time or a nozzle with dirt close beaten
clogged nozzle on the lance

Bypass not working (lyme)
if you disconnect the lance and the handle grip is giving enough water and water comes out then the nozzle clean it with a little paperclip.25944841-me02dbjx1ofpduv3i0g3gg4u-5-0.jpg

Why does my pressure surge

Common problem across brands. When you spray water the drop in pressure triggers the motor to take the hose pressure ~ 30 psi and boost it to ~ 3000 psi. Water coats these parts with calcium (hard water) or other junk and water contains bacteria which causes slime and scale. Once that pressure switch / valve is sufficiently clogged it doesn't move smoothly so it can fluctuate between sending a yes / no signal about whether you are squeezing the trigger or not. This causes the pulsing.

EZ test: take the the tip off the wand, start the unit, squeeze trigger - should run continously with no problem. If it does for sure you need to watch a video on dissembling and cleaning the valve body. It is not hard but you must work carefully to avoid losing parts especially springs and take digital pictures to record the order for reassembly.

My honda excel 2600 psi pressure washer do not have any pressure when i squeez the trigger

Trash in, worn or damaged inlet and outlet valves are one possibility. Unloader valve stuck open or badly worn would also cause low pressure. Wrong spray nozzle size is another. Is the nozzle the right size for your pump?
Is water leaking from under the pump? That would show worn high pressure seals.

Lack of water pressure from gun

With the water faucet turned fully on and the power switch on squeeze and hold the trigger for at least 10 seconds to let the water flow push the air out and then it should start up. Also, adjust the nozzle by turning it to increase pressure.
